Last year my wife got me a Christmas present which was two tickets to see the boys play. The game was against Rutgers in TJs first game back. That was special.
This morning when we exchanged Valentine's gifts she got tickets to tomorrow’s game for us to celebrate TJ and see his jersey raised. Gonna bring some STL kinda crazy to SFC better known as Assembly Hall tomorrow. Totally stoked!!!
Yep, she’s a keeper.

I used to frequent the Peanut Farm when I lived there. Pretty good sports bar.

Humpy's was a decent choice as well.
The Peanut Farm is larger, has more screens, and better food choices than Humpy's, although Humpy's doesn't suck. According to my extremely close friend, the artist formerly known as "Alaskan Illini".

Just looked at the B1G standings. We need that 10th win to keep things close. Let's take care of that tomorrow.

If I might share an Illinois vs. MSU memory:

MSU came to town on Jan 5, 2006. I attended that game, my son sitting in Crush while my seat was way up in the second to last row of the AH.
The Illini were rolling and Dee was red hot, couldn't miss. The crowd was loud and getting louder. Dee hit a shot from nearly halfcourt as the buzzer sounded to end the half.

Here's what was so cool. When that shot landed the crowd erupted and created a sound I haven't experienced since. Remember, I'm sitting in the rafters.
I could only hear my voice inside my head. I couldn't distinguish the cheers of the fans sitting next to me. One was unable to hear any individual scream as we were all just immersed in this massive noise.

Another great memory of the game is my favorite Izzo pose, sitting forlorn on the bench holding his head with both hands.
Dee went on to score a career high 34, the Illini went to 15-0 and extended the home winning streak to 30 games. (!)

I'm looking for another Illini win tomorrow and hoping the atmosphere approaches insanity.

You have yourself a keeper!! And I love to hear the bolded. As I noted in another post, the Illini contingent at Braggin' Rights is one of the rowdiest, most energetic and most fun crowds we ever have in any arena. As far as I'm concerned - and I say this as a Chicago guy! - the more St. Louis Illini fans at SFC every game, the better!

I watched that game at Village Inn in Champaign (RIP), Dee won that one almost singlehandedly!

Headed to CU this afternoon for tomorrows game.
Last time we were there we spent some time bar hopping on Green St. and also some bars in Champaign on Mattis.
We had good grub at Black Dog on Chestnut.
Any recommendations for decent bars and/or decent place for dinner? (Nothing fancy…we are wanting to kind of bounce aound)
Thanks in advance my Illini brethren.

Keeper she is….
I’ve been many, many years to the border war.
15-20 years ago was much livelier than it has been the past years, but still great event.

-5.5 Illinois... I thought it would be around -2.5 or -3..

They've lost 3 of 4 and last game I think Fears was still limited, not sure what his status is tonight but figure he should be fine to go by now

For dinner, if you’re looking for something unique “The Space” is really interesting and downtown, as well as Watson’s. To bounce around I’d suggest Pour Bros, Brass Rail, Collective Pour, and barrel house usually has a decent environment.
