Follow up: I am floored by what Jake has been this year and that he’s seen as a “key” piece moving forward. Brad LOVES him. Crazy he’s as much of a guarantee to be back next year, which I wouldn’t have said before this season.

Now if we can just get him to release that sweet lettuce....

Just watching UCLA's first possession with IU in a zone. Shot goes up and Balo blocks out air. Two offensive players go around him to get inside position for a putback. This is simply grade school level. When a shot goes up, every defender should be looking to block out someone....and all defenders should be between an offensive players and the basket. Should never allow an offensive rebound in a zone. But if you don't play it other than as an anomaly then you don't know what to do...and the Hoosiers sure don't

You could see the shift when he started to play more one-on-one at the top instead of doing the little things, such as putbacks and cuts to the rim.

The games where he was getting 20 points he was barely touching the ball except to finish plays. That's the Tre we need and his feel for cutting and moving off ball is too damn good to not be using it.

Yep. I think the insiders aren't telling us something. White was legit one of Illinois' 3-4 best players not long ago.

You can almost put him down for a layup and a made 3.

Yeah, it is called the Great Alaskan Bush Company, but I am not sure they have a TV. ;)
We have one here in Phoenix. I was surprised to look just now and see it's still open. 20 years ago I dated someone who worked there for a while, fun times those were! Wish I was that age again... I don't remember if they had/have TV's or not....lol. Let's thrash MSU!!!

DGL is gone, Brad won’t put his chips in on him to play starter minutes next year. DGL will look for a place he can get guaranteed shots/mins. Just my opinion.

Will be hard to promise Morez a starting spot next year or maybe ever imo unless he can shoot the 3.

Tomi next year, then year after next Luigi from overseas would be my guess.

If this is all to say that Tre White is out the door and won't be playing for us for the rest of the season, I won't miss him that much. He had some great moments. But I can think of at least six guys that are more important to the success of the team the rest of the season, and that's not even including Humrichous who at times can be an absolute game changer. Riley has surpassed White in that role at this point. It would be nice to have depth in that role, but if not, sorry bro I won't miss you.
I will rue the fact that Rodgers redshirted in large part due to Tre’s presence (+ Riley), and Ty would’ve been great as high energy wing defender, cutter, and glue guy, all things we need from Tre. Major mistake by the staff to signal Tre would be above Ty on the pecking order. Ty has his warts, but we knew that mentally, he was an all-in team guy.

That's making the assumption the staff signaled to Ty Tre was going to play ahead of him. It's possible that Ty could see from practices where he would fit in and chose to go a different direction.

I was under the impression that signaling had been made (whether verbally or by way of practice squads, I don’t know). If that’s not the case, then I take some of that back.

Not sure how true this is, but from what I read Tre thinks he's above being coached because of how much money he makes. Also has a bad attitude, he was never really sick. Take it with a grain of salt.

He plays within his skill set. Very consistent. Aspects of his game reminds me of Jack Ingram.
