I’m concerned McCray still isn’t really ready. I was hoping the Nebraska game would give him some reps and Chase some rest.

I’m going to start calling our QB Tommy DeVine. He walked in here and many of us were hoping he could be better a better version on Brandon Peters. Instead he became the second best qb in the B10. 12 passing and 4 rushing TD’s with only 2 interceptions on the season. Knows when to step up, when to run, and when to throw it away. He’s just been outstanding.

1 carry for 4 yards. That's concerning and definitely suggests he's not ready to be 'back'

TRIPLE LIKE -- Tommy DeVito is a born leader. I'm just sorry that we only get him for one year. When he got thrown down out of bounds yesterday into the Community Chest, and kept his cool (unlike some Michigan State dudes last night), I knew this guy was special. He is great under pressure, and will take this team as far as it wants to go. Buckle up!!!

Projecting the spread:

MSU's offensive/defensive scoring is just about the same as Nebraska. Both teams are also now 3-5. Therefore, sorta seems the only difference week-to-week is playing this one at home in Memorial Stadium. My initial thought is the Illini -7.5, but I guess it will need to get bumped for playing on home turf.

ILL -9.0

No way it can go double-digits.......and I also don't expect MSU's QB to get knocked out during the 2Q.

Who knows, MSU's QB already may be knocked out (suspended) before game even starts.

They are still underestimating our team, which is exactly what we need. They are keeping the motivation going for us and our team. I agree with one of the posters above.....we have to win 3 of the last 4, but 4 out of 4 no doubt gets us up to about 7th or 8th in the polls. A win in Ann Arbor an i'm going streaking down my street. But one game at a time. I'm enjoying watching us put a chokehold on teams, and in the 4th quarter watching how out of sync we are making people.

I heard Bielema was going petition for an extra year of eligibilty. I’m not sure in what grounds, but i’m holding out hope. Wouldn’t that be something if TDV ended up being an all pro in the NFL, a Tom Brady type, and here we were just treating him like a game manager.

I would guess ILL -11.5

#6 team in the Big10? OSU, UM and then whom? PSU, Maryland, Purdue.

Illini really need to beat UM in the Big House for respect nationally. No other way. Have to take care of business at home and schedule is perfectly aligned for that with Big10 West invite as prize.
Beating Purdue might at least get us some conference respect. We just haven't really beaten anyone, though our domination of mediocre teams ought to count for something.
