With Wisconsin having the easiest schedule and Purdue perhaps being the best team, I have to say the other results in B1G play are helping us out … if we can beat MSU tomorrow, we are right back to controlling our own destiny, both in the W/L column and proving we can beat a team like that after a tough loss. Losing to Maryland destroyed our leeway, but we can get half of it back tomorrow.

The Maryland loss stung, but it's a generally safe bet that every top team in the top 4 is going to lose at least one game to the bottom 6 conference teams (Rutgers, Northwestern, Minnesota, Maryland, Penn St, Nebraska). MSU already lost at home to Northwestern. Purdue already lost at Rutgers. It happens, and when Kofi is healthy I think we are most bullet proof to bad losses compared to the other contenders.

I'm more worried about whether or not we can beat top teams. We are 1-3 right now in Q1 and I'm starting to get worried by the end of the year our overall record will look good but our Q1 record will be abysmal. Usually that's a sign of a good team that isn't much of a threat to make a run in March. But plenty of games to change that narrative, starting with MSU.

Dang we really seemed out of sorts after that Purdue game. Shaken up Trent, no Kofi, sick Andre, recovering Hawkins. … no wonder we got wiped
