As I said, we are already running it at least 2/3 of the time. You want to run it even more. You don't want to continuously to go 3 and out but, that is what you are requesting us to do. If you want Lovie to build a running offense, you need to let the young guys on the line get older, stronger, and more experienced. Next year would be a good time for that to start happening on both lines. Until than, please cheer for WI.
This.

What's the over/under on the number of times Fleck goes for it on 4th down? Let's call it 2.

I expect one will be a fake, and that they will convert on at least two 4th down plays.

With the great recruiting news, a win tomorrow would sure be nice to keep a positive vibe for 24 hours.

Take the under. A superbowl calibar coach taking over D responsibilities will have an effect. Lovie was a hell of a D coordinator before DA BEARS days

It will be very interesting to see what wrinkles, if any, Lovie throws at Minny today. Looking forward to it!

Sound, fundamental defense would be nice. Wrinkles? Icing on the cake.

So with Lovie taking over the defense these players will immediately become bigger, faster, stronger and smarter? Would lovie to see it.

The defense will be better schematically just because Lovie is calling the plays. Other than that you're right. We have what we have. Minny won't have much trouble getting chunks against us.

Please Mike Phair. Come back to us.

I think there’s about 100 players on the roster. Does the team set up four helmets (orange, white, gray, blue) for each player? Seems like a big expense but maybe it’s a nit in the overall amount they spend.
Nike covers the expense.

Do you really think Smith and Nickerson have philosophical differences or different coaching styles that will make a difference?

Lovie is a coach through and through. Hardy is a player who tried to be a coach. That's the difference.

That doesn't mean a miracle is going to happen today but I bet we will see something marginally better by the Northwestern game with Lovie taking over the D. Too little too late though.

Why aren't the players taught to wrap up the legs when tackling? It seems everyone tries to manhandle the offensive player, and it won't work if your not man enough. Hawthorne was one of my favorite defensive players because he would attack low and wrap the legs. Seems like a lost art.
