Thankfully we have 9 days to get better. I fully expect this team to come out firing. 10-3 going into the new year would be meeting expectations and on schedule. Wish it was better but all we can do is move forward.
I agree and I admit I’m emotionally frustrated, but … can we move past needing a loss to reignite our fire??

Also we don’t need to get better to beat Mizzou. My ceiling for this team has definitely been lowered. We can make the final four if things go our way but we are not a natty contender. Feels like we’re destined to be on the 4/5 seed line for the millionth season.

This team has a sweet 16 ceiling imo. I’m hoping their play changes my opinion for the better, but that’s what I see right now.

Missouri isn't good this year. This needs to be a win.

Mizzery constantly tries to trap and double team the ball to force turnovers. It has not worked. Hopefully with a week before we play them, we can figure it out.

Mizzou is an athletic team that plays a lot of guys. If they want it more they could easily out scrap an Illini team that lives and dies by the bigs shooting 3s. Gonna come down to who can corral loose ball rebounds bc both teams going to fire a lot of 3s.

Unfortunately some of the Illinois fan base needs the team to completely implode for them to realize Brad Underwood is not the guy. What must done eventually . Must be done immediately. Nothing last forever. There will be a day Underwood is not the coach of Illinois Men’s basketball. He’s been at Illinois for 9 years. I’ve seen all I need to see out him to know who he is and what he’s capable of doing as a head basketball coach. I think it’s time for Brad to move on but in typical Illinois fashion we hang on to coaches longer than we should. See Weber , Groce , Lovie Smith,

Mizzou is not good, and our offense should be able to overwhelm their bad defense. However...Mark Mitchell is really good, and the type of offensive player we don't have a good answer for, and they DO have a guy who shoots 51% from 3 on high volume (Crews) that could be the guy to get on a heater against us. I think Mitchell is going to get his 15-25 points, and as long as we keep their guards from getting hot from 3, we should win this. Looking forward to being there in person, for sure.
