Not going to diss on this team after finals week.

That said, if we see the same team on Thur., Mizzou just might hang 100 on them. Gotta find a way to score in the paint for Hawk and TSJ. They have been no threat lately.

For all who ever thought Mizzou would take a beating from this Illini team, better think again. They seem to get highly motivated to play the Illini. And from what we saw today, they have an advantage with their starters. Illini bench may be strong, but where was DD when the Illini needed to score in the pain?

I have no idea who is favored, but whoever determines that needs to factor in "will to win", which the Illini are not displaying at this point in time.

But, you never know...with this game or this team... what to expect. Should be a wild evening in St. Louis.

I say the Illini -6 on a neutral court. If they win this game with a bang, all will be right with Illinois. Springboard game.

They got murdered by Kansas. We have a similar skill level to Kansas. We just haven't played much together and therefore have some consistency problems. We SHOULD murder Mizzou. Whether we will or not is a separate question.

We are probably a better team than Mizzou, and probably by a significant margin. But that's also been true a few times in recent memory where we've still gone ahead and lost this game.

I really don't want that to happen this year.

Would not say this. Mizzou has struggled against several teams similar skill level to the one we played today
Mizzou has not proven they can win against a quality team this year, as they got blown out by Kansas and have played against a bunch of cupcakes. They did beat Wichita State, but not really a good team this year. Also USF. That being said, our offense is very inconsistent and TO's are a huge problem. We have to be in the lower 50% in TO's in Division 1. Offense does not appear to have improved to me, but defense is getting better.

The last two games are 3 point shooting is 14/50. If that continues it is anyone's game

Jeremy Werner mentioned this on his podcast:
UCLA, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, and Penn St. all had double digit leads on us.
That is every power 5 conference opponent we've faced with the exception of Syracuse.

Went to sleep against Alabama AM for 8 minutes allowing 16 unanswered points.

An obvious problem that needs to be solved.

So expect a double digit lead by Mizzou?

Just checked with Spectrum without verification by their customer service, but the game may show on FS1 (Ch 75) or FS2 (Ch 328) here in my area of WI, yet to be determined. Please advise if anyone finds out anything differently.
