I would like to see others step up offensively. Miller, Williams specifically. We need their offense going forward. When either of them has an open look or an advantage against a defender then be aggressive and shoot the ball. Curbelo started to do this in the MSU game and he probably felt like since no one else is doing it then let me try it and good things happened. Hoping that Ayo, Trent and Kofi bail us out every offensive possession is not a good strategy.

I would like to think we win this comfortably. I could also see us winning uncomfortably. I’m not sure anymore. But I definitely think we win this game.

I just realized that tomorrow night will be the last home game for Trent Frazier, Damonte Williams, Tyler Underwood, Zach Griffith, and most likely Ayo Dosunmu and Kofi Cockburn. To think that we won't see these guys play at home in Orange and Blue anymore has me choked up. Over the past 40 seasons, we've had great teams, great seasons, and this season to me matches the most fun I've had as an Illini fan. Probably because we have not been in a tourney in 9 years, this one has a different feel. I wish them all luck in the future, as i'm sure they will all be successful on and off the basketball court. I wish fans could be there to say thank you tomorrow night, but some of us will be making the journey to Indy if we can, to see this journey out, and cheer like hell! Let's go!!!!

Would definitely recommend folks watch the interviews above. We have such a great group of student-athletes.

I haven't looked at all the shot charts in detail, but it sure feels like teams that are productive from mid-range (OSU, MSU) are the bane of our defensive philosophy. I don't know how many of Langford's offensive rebounds boards last night were completely untouched, but it sure seemed like a ton of them.
It seems like some of the bigger guards will take Trent inside just far enough to avoid a Kofi block and hit a pull up.

We'll win it for the seniors. #Homekill

I get why you would think that he could have been injured, but they would have held him out of the game. Also Brad would have mentioned something today most likely.

um....I would be shocked. He played the rest of the game. Got hit hard, but he should be good to go. They would have pulled him if that was the case.

I won't go back and forth on it but it's quite a bit more complicated than that when it comes to exhibiting signs and symptoms at different stages and meeting certain criteria. I hope I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm not going to be.

No brad wouldn't let it be known, one day ahead of time, that their star player was out so Nebraska's game plan could change.

You wait as long as possible to make that sort of announcement.

I guess that's just out of the blue....would be shocked. Not sure how you got that info sounds like your just guessing

Don't be shocked to see Ayo sit this one out per standard concussion protocol.
I doubt it. Brad seemed too optimistic during his presser to have something like that hovering over his head. Obviously, he wouldn't reveal that early, but I doubt he would've had the same energy today.

agreed, don't think he would have been talking like that either and he also brought ayo and the nab up today too. Does not sound right

Checked in with a couple of people-does not sound like there is any legitimacy to Ayo missing tomorrow's game

Just looking to get the bad taste from MSU out of my mouth. Hope Ayo is good to go, but also just hoping they show their grit and get rolling again. Fun team, great kids, let's just play and stay intense for 40.

Frazier and Williams both add much to Illinois’ defense and Underwood sees their relationship as fundamental to the team’s overall chemistry and atmosphere.

“That’s the best part of this team. This team smiles and this team has fun and they know how to enjoy themselves,” Underwood said. “When you have been through the battles like (Trent and Da’Monte) have, they can laugh certain things off. You learn to understand how things get handled. That’s a true friendship and family and that is everything we strive for: To be able to create laughter. It is that brotherhood that you see. Two brothers that fight, two brothers that laugh, two brothers that wrestle.”

As he takes the court one last time at home, Frazier will think of the growth he as seen over his four seasons. Illinois improved from 14-18 and tied for 11th in the Big Ten to now be a national top-five team and in contention for a Big Ten title as March approaches.

“It is a blessing and an honor to make it to tomorrow night and to be here four years. It has been a long journey,” Frazier said. “Starting where we were at and to now be at this point, it is incredible. To get the program back on the map and to be a part of it is very special. It is bittersweet but going into tomorrow night, I will be walking out there with a smile on my face.”

Here's hoping that the seniors will be walken in sunshine tonight as they get the accolades they deserve as being a great example of the new culture here @ The University of Illinois....We are so proud of your being fine young men, leading us by your dedication through the lean years and dealing with the covid-19 virus, always putting team first....You will be remembered forever in our hearts....

I think the problem is more that Kofi either doesn't look for kick out opportunities or isn't confident in his passing ability. We're a good 3P shooting team by percentage even if a couple of our guys are gun shy
He’s done it a few times and it’s been a thing of beauty. The ball moves to wide open shooter. Too bad he doesn’t do it more. It would put a quick stop to the triple teams.
