Earlier in the year, MSU/UK/Kansas & Duke sold out the UC and SRO tickets were $100.

Illinois would sell out the UC against any of those four. With a healthy amount of opposing fans, but that would have been somewhat true against those opponents in 2004 too.

It ain't rocket science. College basketball cupcake games are not hot tickets.

I don't have a beach house, but I have a lake house. Can I bet that?

I don't think those have ever been accepted. Good news, though, I had a friend install a beach at his lake house for about $500. Said it will last at most 3 years, and then he'll refresh it. And yes, he can throw money at virtually any problem.

Underwood: Very excited to head to Chicago. Very good opponent in New Mexico State. Known Chris Jans for a lot of years when he was at Wichita State.

Underwood: Elated to be part of the Lou Henson Classic. He's impacted a lot of players. Name on both courts. Speaks volumes to his love in both places.

Underwood: Zach Lofton can go get his own shot at any time. Very gifted with the basketball. Can score off the catch, the three & off the bounce. A lot of jerk in his game. Very hard guard.

Underwood: Trent Frazier has followed up his best games with by far his best practice today. He was electric today in practice.

Underwood: Trent doesn't think there's anyone out there that can guard him.

Wish the NMSU preview wasn't cut off at the end there. Can't get enough of Underwood talking about this team.

I tend to agree with Coach. There is nobody that can guard TF, especially in the open floor. Enjoying it this year, can't wait until Ayo joins the track meet in 2018!

Lou Henson and Jimmy Collins built the Illini up from years of crap to a regular NCAA fixture. They did so during an era where the Big Ten was stacked with talent. They were great and I remember them to this day. I hope Lou can beat his illness and attend the game.

We haven’t shot well at the United Center in the past few years. Here’s to hoping this changes on Saturday.

Frazier is getting into a zone for Illinois

“You can tell when a player is starting to feel comfortable,” Underwood said. “They get lost in the game. You have to play to know what a zone like that is. Da’Monte (Williams) has been in it a long time. Mark Smith has been there the last few.

“Trent gets a whole different look about him and when he gets there he’s not reacting, he’s anticipating, dialed in. He knows when the opportunities come. He’s getting into that moment and it’s a pretty special place. And with it comes a lot of confidence.”

Both teams shoot the 3 poorly and UI is #336 in the country for TO's. The matchup of Harris and Frazier should be interesting on both ends of the floor.

Here's to Henson's health. I used to love his reaction to us Orange Krushers chanting "We want Roth. We want Roth. We want Roth..", louder and louder at the end of victorious games until he gave in and gave us Roth... Anyone remember that?

It's going to be a very disappointing crowd tonight, which is typical of these United Center games against smaller time programs. Ticketmaster has availability just about everywhere, there's nothing on Stubhub (meaning no tickets out there to resell) and Craigslist is dead. They need to reconsider their pricing for these games.

I live 15 minutes from the United Center and would like to go. However, I am not shelling out $75 a ticket (Ticketmaster) for lower level seats. Sure, I can sit in the upper tank for $20 a ticket, but would rather just watch on TV or at a bar at that point. These are two unranked teams, you'd think they'd want to get as many bodies in that stadium to sell beer and food.

Agreed they need bigger named opponent. But at the same time we haven't been good enough to play those guys in a neutral setting.
