Next week's schedule is awful. I'm not ruling out Game Day for us, as ridiculous as that sounds. It's got to be on the short list of 3, and that goes to 2 if Arkansas ends up losing (down 20-14 now). UNC has to win first too of course.

UNC is big and fast with a ton of athletes. We will need our D Line to own their O-Line and we will need to score 24+

Watching this UNC Georgia game...both of UNC'S RB's are scary. Plus they have a mobile QB.

Carolina looking good....giving Georgia all they can handle. Gonna be a real reality check for Illinois.

Too bad n.carolina gave up 222 yards on the ground they are not unbeatable and in my opinion Georgia didn't look that good, we have a shot here ,they expended a lot of energy tonight. By the way the whole sec didn't look that great tonight except Alabama of course.

How high do you need to sit to avoid getting a view of the sideline guys all game?

Lots of penalties on UNC and a Freshman corner we can pick on. A blown lineman down the field penalty cost them the game most likely, but i think our game boils down to our D line vs their O line. Whoever wins, wins the game

We have a really good D line rotation. Should be a really good game..

Lunt is going to be able to complete some passes. Not impressed with either The Dawgs or Heels last night.

Calling it now, 27-23 Illini next week.
48-6 Pre-game Murray State prognostication. (I thought that 4th qtr FG would be theirs, not ours

+9.5 Nice call on the line prediction. I think you nailed it!

27-24 I'm going with the upset, even though I think UNC is bigger/more talented than us.

The Lovie effect!!! Plus --- both Harbaugh and U. Meyer did it in year one. A victory also means we get a few votes for the Top 25 next week.

Plus --- both Harbaugh and U. Meyer did it in year one.

Both of them had better talent to deal with. I love our team, but to pretend like we were even in the same discussion as Michigan when Harbaugh took over or Ohio State when Meyer took over would be disingenuous.

I won't predict a score, but I have a feeling a lot of fans will be jumping off a ledge after the game. We just are not there yet, I am hoping for a better showing than last year.

I think it's realistic the illini pull off an upset this coming weekend. We didn't look as ill prepared as we typically do. Watching the DLine swarm the ball gave me a lot of hope for the future. I think there's a real shot we surprise this year. With that said, this is Lovie's first year and we don't have the best talent, but it does look like we have passion. It's a real possibility we lose our next two, but I'll remain optimistic.

I know the UNC is what a lot a fans will get a good judgment in on the team.. I see it a little different.

Win or lose against UNC. It's how we settle back in after a great high of beating UNC or low of losing to UNC to then be ready to go against a good Western Michigan team. That's when we will truly have a better feel of what this team is capable of doing this year and moving forward under Lovie.
