I heard Piper and Werner say last night on their podcast that we are now second to last in Big Ten Conference play, only ahead of Washington, in three point shooting percentage.
That is what is most disheartening about the last two weeks, all three loses have been heavily influenced by poor outside shooting including two on our home rims.
Getting beat up inside without Tomi sucked to watch, and losing to Maryland again is so frustrating. But that method not easily replicable by teams outside of Maryland and obviously once Big T is back it won't be such a glaring issue.
But if the poor three point shooting stays around, that is what is most likely to spell our doom once the post season arrives. We built the team to be a bunch of great shooters and if none of them can hit shots, we are screwed.
We have the talent and shooting POTENTIAL to beat anyone, so I'm sure nobody will be eager to play us, but it's getting harder to believe we can play 4-6 straight games in March without a shooting slump.
