Sad but true......

Izzo's gonna sic the Goon squad on Wagler. If that doesn't work, Fears Jr will flop a couple phantom fouls out of the refs. My prediction is that KW will be riding the bench with either a concussion or foul trouble. Wish we had a Lucas Johnson type on this team to rumble with Izzo's thugs!
I feel like we're underappreciating the toughness and physicality of Wagler and several other players...

Since we're talking MSU pregame...

MSU feels like the most winnable of the 3-headed Purdue/Neb/MSU away-game monster, especially after seeing the jumbo package with double Ivisic, Mirk and Humrichous on the court. This completely clogs the lane and forces MSU's few shooters to take tough 2's or 3's, which at this point Hummer and Wagler seem more than capable of defending on the perimeter.

It seems like MSU has had trouble with any team with a real front court.

My guess is this one is a comfort game team W. We actually hit shots at home and rebound, Wagler sub 20 and 5 in double figures.

Michigan State game next scares me though, ..... they will look to hurt Wagler. I've see it too many times, when Michigan State is out matched that's their "plan".
Just talked to my buddy about that very thing. I think their strategy is to foul so much that the refs won’t call them all.

There is some stuff going around Twitter that big ten coaches aren't thrilled with May. He's pretty blatant about tampering, not sure the validity.
I hear that. And I say this as a fan of a program who had one of their best players tampered with/poached, even after allegedly signing a contract to return, but what even is tampering at this point? With very few exceptions, it seems like players have gauged interest before they portal and enter in with a very short list of suitors. Of course those conversations are happening before portal season. And is it because he is tampering in conference? Would it be better if he was backchanneling players from the SEC?

I’m not wild about the current environment. Feels like the Wild West. But to think right now as I type this players aren’t thinking about their options and backchanneling to gauge interest is taking place is naive.

NCAA could actually pass some rules. If BIG doesn’t want tampering within conference that could be a rule too. But tampering in conference vs out of conference is a distinction without a difference IMO. And I hated losing Morez the way we did.

Not if sparty foul baits Keaton like they did Kasparas or if they break his face like they did with Ayo.

I agree, absent hijinks Sparty is the most beatable and maybe even the best matchup for us of the 3 game road gauntlet. But, there will be hijinks.

I don't want to talk MSU yet because it feeds into the Northwestern trap ju-ju...but yes, Jeremy Fears is the dirtiest player in the country and that terrifies me

If we win, it'll be the first time we've ever beaten a top 10 MSU team in East Lansing.

But then again, yesterday was the first time we've ever beaten a top 10 Nebraska team in Lincoln, so I think we're up for it...

This is exactly what I am worried about. MSU is dirty.
