I’m not trying to be dramatic; I’m merely venting because Illini basketball means so much to me, and this is heartbreaking to say…
… it’s difficult to care. I genuinely regret convincing my parents to drive 4 hours to meet my wife and me to see us play MSU in mid-February. Got my wife to spend Valentine’s Day watching the Illini *maybe* decide to give effort that day. Depressing.

If we play like we did tonight, we’ll go 0-8. We won’t, of course … our G-Leaguers won’t shoot worse than I could every night. But at this point I’d honestly guess 3-5.
Ready for a very solid OSU team to come in here an kick our A$$.. They seem to play better away and we have appear to play worse.. Should be a fun time had.
Concern is how rusty he could be from being out.
Pretty much a must win now. The next three all are.

Just stay out of the 8-9 game. but more importantly just get some good mojo going.

Yep. My goal for this season after the Arkansas win was to get back in the bottom half of the bracket with a top 3 seed and see what happens. Second Round upset? Whatever, they happen … we had another great regular season and had a bad day in March Madness.
Our CRAZY HOT finish is now to end in 4 seed territory and to be staring down a similar path as our 2022 team, with a Sweet Sixteen as the prayer. More likely we’ll trot out casually vs. a 9 seed in the First Round.

Nebraska has very little basketball history, was on a 6 game losing streak, and their fans showed up in full force to support their team.
Our team needs us right now. Ideally, we should have an electric atmosphere on Sunday that wills our team to victory. In reality, half of Krush will probably be on their phones and there will be a lot of grumbling whenever something bad happens.
