Torvik predicts Illinois to win 91-69.
KenPom has Illinois at 92-69. Might be a little betting opportunity to take Penn at +28.5 if that's still the spread (for the less superstitious, I could never bet on/against us)

Does anyone in the SJ area know of a place to watch the game (a place with Xfinity)?

Every place I've checked uses directTV which does not carry peacock or NBCSN. I see NBCSN on Xfinity. I see there is now a new youtube TV that is "built for business". I can't find the channel list for the business version of youtube. I also suspect it is too new for anyone to actually use it yet.

While I was and still am impressed with the offense. I don't want to blow it out of proportion I mean Butler is going to get up over 100 against FDU tonight.

Last year's matchup:
ESPN has us -29.5 and the over/under at 166.5
So, 98-68
IMO: I think we beat that.
It was 40-30 at halftime. It definitely wasn't comfortable. Our depth(and shooting) overwhelmed them in the second half.

No Mirk, no Davis, no Wagler, playing young guys....

84-67 good guys. We'll push if out to 20, they'll cut it to 14, we'll push it back to 22 and we'll win by 17.

Yeah I had $ on Butler -27.5 so I watched almost the entirety of the game.

The difference between us and Butler is MASSIVE. FDU was able to get by their guards quite a bit and secure plenty of rebounds that we didn’t even give them the chance to get. The size and athleticism difference was very obvious.

Butler hit a bunch of wide open 3’s (just like us) and weren’t able to crack the century mark. FDU was also much more comfortable on offense, ran quite a bit of sets.

Beating FDU by 75 points is without question, the biggest flex of anyone this season. We’re really really good- even without Mirk or Jake.

I think it’s cool to say everything still has questions until you play top caliber teams.

But in basketball, a 20-point difference isn’t marginal

Okay. At least 128-52. I'd support that, but might have some defensive concerns giving up that many points.
Well, how about 128-49? 🙂

Suspected separation as opposed to dislocation as soon as it happened. The contact did not suggest dislocation. I have dislocated mine several times over the years but unsure if one is quicker to recover from than the other.
In my 20's, a had a second degree separation of my right shoulder. It eventually stopped bothering me at all. Took about 30 years. 😩

Am I the only one slightly worried about this game tonight? Veteran tournament team from last year with their best guys back and a high level coach. And we are starting three freshman, including two that might not have even been recruited by Penn. I love our team and what it could become this year but are we really 28 points better than this Penn team right now? I guess we'll find out.

All this tells me, is that we could win the National Championship 3 years in a row and have five 5-star recruits on the team and I think we’d still have fans thinking we’ll lose a game we’re 30 point favorites

They didn’t — final score says 99-65.

Butler points per possession against FDU: 1.443

Illinois points per possession against FDU: 1.591

….

FDU points per possession against Butler: 0.948

FDU points per possession against Illinois: 0.597

…..

In a 100 possession game: Butler would win by 49.5 points, while Illinois would win by 99.4 points.

Butler covered the spread by 5pts, while Illinois covered the spread by 35pts.

Clearly Illinois had the way more dominant performance.

I mean, Vegas, which has factored in injuries, has us by 6 points more than the metrics-based systems, which have not factored in injuries, if that tells you anything...
