-Any missed shot from Edey when he has his defender buried has to be rebounded.
-we need to run, run, run
-TJ is back for this one, another monster for PU to cover, hopefully Coleman can drag the big guy out and abuse him.
-TY gets back on track this game. He remembers the missed layups and opportunity from last time. He got anything he wanted and nothing has changed. Don’t worry about your shot getting beat. Go up strong and finish.
Don’t think we will see very much Ty against Purdue. Just a bad matchup for him.

If Ty is playing Edey will have him, but he won't actually guard him. He will just play deep. If Ty drives, Edey will be waiting, same for Domask. Going to need 5 shooters. If Dain is playing, he will have to take it right to Edey.

Expert coach here obviously.

Should have scrolled first. You beat me to the point. After what they did to him in West Lafayette....begging him to shoot because he couldn't finish at the rim with Edey, I'm not sure of his role here.

I think that he needs to shoot the ball, just so he shows that he's willing. If it's a brick, so what?

Boy, he missed some bunnies last time out. I mean absolute bunnies. He got anywhere he wanted. I thought he was in his own head. Quite honest, I think him and Quincy are too nice around the rim. I thought Kofi was the same way.
Agree that we pose a bigger problem for Eddy when Harmon is in for Ty. He then has to guard someone that can hit 3s, or let them take practice type shots.
I think the last game the guys were a little awed at Eddy's size and overadjusted their game in the beginning. Hopefully, it will be different this time around.
TSJ will make a big difference for us.

Wouldn't be very hospitable to rob Purdue of being able to celebrate winning the B1G on their home floor.

Probably would be nicest to let them lose this game so they can celebrate at home.
Everyone at Mackey was celebrating a conference championship tonight, including the Fox announcers. Not so fast Purdont. All you did was clinch a tie perhaps with us.

Would like to see them attack Edey with Shannon in the pnr early and look to get him in early foul trouble.

Maybe he blocks him but I like Shannon's chances at getting contact with a full head of steam coming down downhill at Edey playing drop coverage.

Underwood found a lineup with good success last game, just didn’t lean on it enough. I expect that to be remedied this time. Oh TSJ is back too so if Edey isn’t guarding that perimeter I am expecting some whistles to go our way.

It's been a while, but I do think we got 2 on edey somewhat early in the first. Didn't help, because I believe they expanded with him out after we closed the gap. Ty had 13 minutes first time around. You guys are probably right, won't see much, but I can't imagine a world where he doesn't start. He will have opportunity, play through and finish strong at the rim. No twists and twirls and flicks, f'n finish.

If they're going to play it that way then you just use Ty as your ball screener over and over again. If you open a free runway for TSJ vs Edey I like that matchup and honestly even like Coleman attacking Edey 1 on 1 in space.

Currently in Tucson..anybody know of a sports bar that offers Peacock +??
Being 55 years removed from my undergrad years there, I have no idea what the bar scene is like as it relates to TV streaming. But if you like an understated place with some lovely sorority girls hanging around, I do know the Bayhorse Tavern is still going strong. It's about 5 blocks north of campus...at least north of Speedway (I have no idea what the northern edge is considered these days).

I just don't get why Ty can't shoot a free throw line jumper once in a while. He usually gets to the line every game. That should be not that uncomfortable for him that he won't take one while in the offense if he is left open.

1: Offense is definitely not our problem. We’re the #1 offense in the nation since Feb 1st by a wide margin.

2: What makes our offense so efficient is that we have the right guys shooting the right shots in the right spots.

Wasn't saying it was a problem with our offense. More about being a problem for him and why we can't use him at times.

Well Justin might start because it's senior day but I think Ty should play a decent to good amount. I know his production at Mackey wasn't great but that was because in the first half he kind of hung around the perimeter which bogged down the offense. To start the second half he roamed along the baseline and in the dunker spot and he got some good looks around the rim. Plus he sets some good weakside screens. Hopefully he can be effective in that role Tuesday so if Edey is forced to step up to guard drives Ty can be open under the rim.

Feels like 2004 Weber's first season when we finished regular season with 10 straight wins to clinch the B10 title w 13-3 record.

We have won 8 of last 10, are on 3 game winning streak with Purdue and Iowa left. Win 2 more and we finish 15-5 probably for 2nd in b10.

More importantly we will have 2nd road Quad 1 win vs Iowa and beaten a probable #1 seed Purdue. Up to now we failed against vs #5 Marquette and #4 Tennessee and #2 Purdue. Our confidence will be sky high going into NCAA and our see will probable be 2 or 3.

PS- I hate Peacock. I am on west coast so I see all these games courtesy Youtube DVR.

If someone could just go ahead and convince Domask that Purdue is actually in Wisconsin.....

Maybe Goode would start lighting up the three ball if we give the Goode Mom and the Goode Dad and the Goode Friends and Relatives a few extra tickets. Does it work that way?

Sparty’s big 3 went something like 13-36. And of course Purdue got their friendly whistle and still only won by 8. Purdue looks very gettable.
I’ll be very curious to see what the spread is….Illinois and Purdue are the two best road teams in the conf…but the B1G has the highest home team win % out of all the conferences.

Purdue does look gettable though so I feel like Vegas might surprise some people and have it Illinois -2

Yea...but if Shannon is going downhill with great speed, more than likely Edey will be trailing the play and TJ will be shooting layups

I would agree they have got to make Edey guard a shooter to get him away from the basket this time imho. I think we see a lot more Harmon and Goode than Ty. Ty has got to develope an outside shot to be more effective.. He has a great motor and nose for the ball but he got to make his defender honest.
