In case you're still mad at BTN +....here is a little reason to tip your cap their way.....Iowa still has two more games slated for BTN+.

Enjoy the schadenfreude!

For some reason I couldn't get the UTRGV game. It asked me to login and wouldn't give me my correct email password. I tried different ways to get it. How do you cancel it.
We will Win. Who will stop Kofi? No one.

Ii think you are talking about Brian Cardinal. But seem to remember that Hummel wanted to be here.
Cardinal's dad was the trainer

EDIT: Guess I should read all the posts first. A couple guys already said this. Sorry for the redundancy.

After digging a bit in Rutgers message boards, I don’t think they know if Geo Baker is playing or not. If they’re keeping it under wraps I would bet that probably means he plays. But who knows?

If he’s out I think our chances of winning jump dramatically. Hope we get a full strength Frazier grandison and Williams. If so, I have no worries.

I won’t predict because I’ve jinxed us before, but I think it will be a fun night and Illini fans will have a good feeling this weekend

;)

Set your computer on fire. That should do the trick. But do it outside of course. Safety first!

Thanks for reminding me to cancel my sub. It was easy in my case.

Probably our most complete game against Notre Dame with some really nice sets for Kofi to get the ball. I thought we did a really great job limiting turnovers and the super seniors stepped up big time. It will be interesting to see when Belo comes back how Brad will incorporate him back, a healthy and turnover free Belo can really propel this team. Rutgers has also had a sloppy start to the season with 3 really bad losses in a row before winning at home to Clemson. That doesnt mean much to us with B1G play starting and Rutgers having our number the past couple of years.

Model Prediction
(22) ILL 71 84.9%
(91) RUT 61

I just went through the projection and was a bit surprised, seems to give a lot of priority on home court. Anyway, it projects the team going 17-7 the rest of the way to end at 22-9. How would the board feel about that? Losing at NW, Iowa, IU and being swept by PU doesn't feel good. However, beating AZ and Mizzou is good. Splitting with MSU and Mich seems reasonable.

The zebras called May for one foul in that game. ONE!!! Meanwhile they fouled Auggie out in 9 minutes. Threw in four fouls on Ingram for good measure.
May would knock the defender back 2 or 3 times on the same play not just 1. You can get away with 1 at times .

I really liked how Illinois passed the ball vs. Notre Dame. Andre is a fantastic passer but he has a bad habit not keeping the ball moving. He feels he has to have the ball in his hands at all times (reminds me of James Harden or Russell Westbrook - very ball dominant. Last year we moved the ball very well and were great at either feeding Kofi in the low post or finding the open man. I saw that again vs Notre Dame when Andre was out. Hopefully Andre sees that from the bench and learns to trust his teamates and stops playing hero ball. The last 2 possessions vs Marquette were awful. Brad needs to get Andre to play with his teamates.

The only way we lose this game is if Kofi is in foul trouble. If he stays on the court this is a comfortable win. Rutgers really only has 1 big man, Omoruyi. He won't be able to hang with Kofi all game. We also have the length to make Harper's life difficult, and we can stick multiple guys on him. Damonte, Hawkins, Grandison, etc.

Rutgers will always have a chance this year because Geo and Harper can pour in buckets every know and then but I don't think they'll be consistent enough to make the tournament. They are really missing Myles' defense and Young's energy.
Geo has missed some time with a hamstring and is probably out tonight as well.

In all seriousness though, click on the password reset button below the sign in. As long as you have access to the email address you used, you should be golden.

Baker and Harper are the only two who can make an outside shot. If Baker doesn't play, Harper moves to the 1. Beyond that, they have only one big guy. Makes them easy to defend.

Did he even have an Illinois offer? For some reason I vaguely remember he didn't get an Illinois offer despite having an uncle (?) who is on the faculty.
Grandpa taught at the university. Had season tickets for ever. Dad (Glenn) was an all conference tennis player for Illinois in the 70s.

"They did not reciprocate the interest that I had in Illinois." - Robbie Hummel at around the 28-minute mark in an interview with Brad Sturdy back in October.
