So, what's the news on Sitkowski?
Out for the year. He also had a shoulder problem coming into the year and no one knew but the coaches. They were thinking about when to time the surgery and now the broken arm means he'll get the shoulder surgery, too. He'll miss spring ball but be back in the fall. BB pre-emptively said it was not a matter of keeping him playing so he could go against Rutgers.

Left arm injury on Saturday as I recall. Hoping the shoulder ailment is also LEFT.

tough break man.

Hoping BP18 can sling the ball similar to how he used to. Some rest should've helped him.

Play action with this phenomenal run game could help us!

Rutgers and Illini are pretty similar statistically. Notice that Rutgers run/pass offensive balance is similar to Penn States. Hope that is a good thing.

Well, a bit of good news I guess. It seemed unlikely Art would be back this week for sure. Glad Chase is ok. I have no idea how far behind Johnson is if BP goes down again.

I wonder what the shoulder injury is with Art? If its a rotator cuff I can see why he would have trouble with accuracy, but also wouldn't think he have been the #2.

Rush defense rankings of the last few teams we've played:

Purdue: #53 (L)
Charlotte: #124 (W)
Wisconsin: #1 (L)
Penn State: #62 (W)
Rutgers: #68

Rutgers will be preparing for our Barge formation all week. Can they stop us?

Unless I am mistaken, the Wisconsin game is the only one where Illinois did not cover the spread. That said, we should all be raking in the dough placing wagers on Illinois covering, bowl game notwithstanding.
We are 4-3-1 ATS. 😂

Chase Brown continues his downhill running against Rutgers.

Josh McCray has been a bright spot in this freshman class and I know we wasted his redshirt but this gives us something to build on in the future.

Would be good to see Reggie Love and possibly Jakari Norwood get some touches.

I think Rutgers would also be a ideal opponent for us to open up our passing game. Not sure why it hasn't clicked as much but we have Washington, Hightower, Armstrong and IW along with Barker and Ford. Lets Spread the Ball!

Obviously something the medical people cleared, so must be something they were sure would not get worse by playing. Makes Art's long throws to Spann even more impressive
