What do you think the starting 5 will be like when Belo is back? Belo replacing Da'Monte seems good but that will lead to three small guards on court. If we want to keep 3 guys who can guard forwards, which two will you choose among Trent, Alfonso, and Belo?
I'm guessing Belo will come off the bench, at least at first. I just hope it's soon. The lack of info on his condition has me worried.
I think Plummer off the bench like Williams does at Purdue. It would keep better offensive options on the floor during rotations helping to keep from having long scoreless droughts. jmho

The challenge with belo, trent and Plummer same time without DMW, is lack of backcourt Defense length that DMW gives and Plummer and TF scoring is tough to sit on bench.
I love Belo....and literally bought his NIL T shirt....
ATS,...Given the red hot beyond arc shooting that Plummer provides, and worrisome belo turnover habits shown in first couple games (that I know he will correct) I would love for Belo to come off bench as that change of pace Energizer we saw last year,... at least initially with his return.
Not sure Belo will start when he's back...at least not at first....he comes off the bench and plays starter minutes but not sure he'll start
It'll be interesting to see who he takes minutes from when he comes back. I guess DMW since he's been handling a few mins at the 1. I don't think we can play many minutes with Belo fraizer and plummer out there, length just isn't there. Fraizer has been playing crazy minutes so maybe he cuts a few from him too. Plummer has arguably been our second best important, I find it hard to take many minutes from him.
It'll be a good problem to have.

My feeling as well. BU has been quite vague in answering what’s wrong IMO.
Concerned that Belo may be experiencing problems that plagued what Clint Frazier of the Yankees had. Never being able to shake lingering effects. Hope that isn't the case but he has been out awhile and no real explanation on issues and timetable for returning. Prayers for Belo, we need him.

That would be a slight concern but hey defense is already a concern lol I just don’t want to see Plummer come off the bench.
I don't feel like, IN GENERAL, there is a difference between MOST TEAMS 2 and 3. It seems like most teams start 3 guards nowadays. Trent typically guards the other teams best guard. This team will survive and maybe even thrive playing the first 3-5 mins of the game with those 3 starting.
Unfortunately there is no one right answer for this dilemma. Realistically we have 7 starter caliber players with Kofi and Trent being the nucleus. The other spots will probably be determined by the other teams personnel and game situations. Glad we have BU to lead them.
Plummer is strong so maybe he can be like dmw and guard a bigger guy. Not 4/5 big like dmw but 3 big. Especially if that guy is more perimeter based and Plummer can get under him defensively. Contesting shots if the offensive player created space would be the biggest issue.
If the offensive player can post, I don’t think we can do it.
As small as we’d be, I’d be interested in a lineup with those 3 and DMW at the 4. That shifts hall handling responsibilities back off DMW and puts him in those same catch and shoot situations he was in last year. With him and Plummer as catch and shoot threats, Frazier as a catch and shoot or pull-up threat, Curbelo as a penetrator, that lineup could be nasty offensively.
With those three in the lineup at the same time, we will have the 1st half AZ offensive rebounding situation revisited. A lot of rebounds by guards are because you have a big body banging with another big body.
Belo absolutely has to start off by coming off the bench. Can't force him into the fire, regardless of the team we're facing.
