I don't have a favorite between Texas and Xavier but seeing Tre Johnson up vs Will Riley would be a very interesting matchup as would a battle between potential lottery players in Tre Johnson and KJ

For those that have gone to tournament games before, is a session ticket good for both games during that session or just one game? That would make the prices much more digestable to deal with

Does a late night Friday game, preclude us from the 11 am Sunday games that we have gotten in the past?

This is the best possible draw for us! It's Final 4 or bust now.

I understand how West Virginia feels

Honestly north Carolina fits the profile of a team that will be in the play in game and can go on a run to sweet 16. Ole Miss is good but can be beaten. Iowa State has a key player injured. And North Carolina is controversial last team the field with talent that had underperformed all season so logic goes out the window and go on a run. Or they lose on the play in game, lol.
UCLA a few years ago. Oregon State a few years ago. Didn’t Michigan St have a Sweet 16 run from the play-in game?

I haven't gone before, but having looked into it I'm fairly certain that a session ticket gets you both games in that time slot (either the two earlier games or two later games in that location).

It happens a lot. Syracuse was trash team that barely got in a few years back and went on a run. Let's just do our part and shut our side down.... Give no quarter to Texas or Xavier.

Win against the 11, get hot and blitz Kentucky. Get a tough and well earned revenge win against Tennessee with a kj game winning shot. Get to elite 8 and hope clingan is nowhere to be found

Mr Smooth Brain reporting for duty.

Still kind of shocked that they got a 6, but I'll happily be wrong this time.

In 2021, we played Loyola. They were an 8 seed, but finished the season at #10 in KenPom, a 3 seed equivalent. Then in 2022, we played Houston. They were a 5 seed, but finished the year at #2 in KenPom, a 1 seed equivalent.

Doing that same math, this year, we'll play Texas or Xavier in round 1 as an 11 seed. Xavier is 43 in KenPom and Texas is 44. Both 11 seed equivalents—right in line with where they're seeded.

Then, we'll likely play #16 Kentucky as a 3 seed, a 4 seed equivalent.

That's a pretty good path to a sweet 16, no absurdly under-seeded teams in our way.

Typically, CBS has dibs on who they want to play in those late morning/early afternoon/mid afternoon games. They want the best draws in those timeslots. My guess is that if ILL and Kentucky win, they'll put us in a mid afternoon to late afternoon game(so either the 1:30pm or the 4pm game on CBS). I doubt they'd put us at the 11am tip
