Alright can’t sleep. Getting ready to leave for Indy. This day is for all of us. All of us that spend hours upon hours on this page. All of us that know where we were when Quentin snider committed (and where we were when he decommitted.) all of us that remember when Jeremiah Tilmon did the same. All of us that watched Jaylon Tate run point. Nothing brings me more joy than fighting Illini basketball, and I know a lot of you feel the same way. I wouldn’t trade anything in the world than to be here with all of you. This for all of us.

So, the talking point did originate in regards to Hurley, but I truly feel it’s important to address all the stuff that goes into the endless media exposure we see. How amplified everything is once you get to the final 4.

It’s all been a bit surreal this week. And while I know we are the betting favorite, I can’t help but feel like the team, fanbase, and program on the whole are playing with house money.

Always feel that in a game of this magnitude you have to expect the unexpected to a degree.

I’ll go out on a limb and say that Ben knocks down 5 triples, we race out to a 13 point lead only to see UConn race all the way back in the 2H. But, the Illini hold on in the final seconds in dramatic fashion.
