WARNING: Wall of text coming at ya. I’ll try to break it up into readable paragraphs.
Tyler has caught some flak through the years, but this is just super groovy… seeing his affect on his pappy during certain points throughout the season, having their moments to level each other out by a glance or revel in the glory of this sublime ride we are all enjoying.
Brad does seem a bit softer and easier to adjust this year. I like it, and I don’t think it’s a total coincidence that it occurs as his son has come into his own and earned respect as a voice on the staff. Goodman is a d-bag most of the time, but this interview was neat.
The kid has helped with X/O’s and gotten to share some amazing memories with his old man. Just…. Very cool.
Anyways… I’ve rambled too long. Like some/most of you, I’ve lurked/posted/been obsessed, constantly/sporadically since the Brumby days and appreciate this ride so, so very much. I’ve been at a loss for words lately.
It’s so hard to stay positive in the present tense and most of us come here for the bread and circus… I unfortunately and tragically lost both of my parents over the last 2.5 years, both huge fans going back to childhood. Bled orange and blue all of my life.
Andy Kaufmann’s mom was one of my brother’s dorm parents at ISD in Jacksonville back in the late 80’s/early 90’s. The roots are deep.
I feel a good amount of catharsis right now and I love this team, this experience, along with each and every one of you. This is all just a ride. A f@cking rollercoaster, and it shouldn’t be any other way. Enjoy this ride, brothers and sisters
