3 Options:

Option 1: Beat USC. We are a Top 25 team with still a possibility for a 10-2 season. We aren’t a top 4 BT team but in the next tier with USC, Michigan, Washington, Iowa.

Option 2: Lose by less than 10. We are an average BT team. 6-5 in BT this year and last. With 3 very lucky wins. A minus 60 in +/- this year and last. Looking at 4-5 or 5-4 in BT. Program is more at the level of Maryland, Nebraska, Rutgers.

Option 3: Lose by more than 10. We are a below than average BT team. Looking at a losing record in BT. Very disappointing season. Hoping we can beat the likes of Purdue, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Maryland and NW to even go 3-6 in BT.

I don’t know what to expect but I may have to lay off this board for awhile. The negativity is over the top. We have a great HC, a great QB and have played well except for the IU game. IU will do what they did to us to a lot of teams this year (as someone mentioned Nebraska last year). Let’s see how we look Saturday before we judge the rest of the season.

We're a loyal fanbase, but not particularly stable...

Hope we have a great crowd for what I consider to be a huge game for the program. I have no problem talking about all the issues and downgraded expectations if we lose but we should treat this as a big opportunity in front of a ton of eyeballs to show how good before the game

don’t want to fall back into the “keep it close” era after a single bad loss.

We’ve got the talent, semi-regardless of injuries. Nut up or shut up time for this staff and players. I’m not saying a loss derails everything, but this team should 100% be better than a 50 pt loss to anyone.

I have faith in Bret and co., but this is a much bigger game than it needed to be.

sorry if posted, but this does not give me a lot of hope: (a) if it’s all correctable, why wasn’t it corrected (cignetti saw, among other things, how weak our o-line was from duke game, as did anyone with eyes) and (b) regarding your good coaches . . . tim robinson “you sure about that” dot gif.

always accompany a negative post with how pleased i’ve been with bielema (although I wanted leipold), but i fear the same old story coming off a successful year.
Our problems with the O-line should have been corrected after the first couple of games. It was obvious we were not ready for tougher opponents.

I could be wrong here, but if this is the same OL as last year and we went to a major bowl game last year, WTH happened?!
My read between the lines of what Bret said ‘ we had no answers’ and ‘maybe we’re asking too much of them’ is direct criticism of staff: We were making the players think too much with too much complexity. His answer like the barge will be to simplify the schemes and hit some people. Straight on run blocking etc.

Leman said on the podcast with Werner that he thinks our O-line is too upright. Our pad levels aren’t low enough and we’re getting driven back too easily. Combine that with a bunch of very slow-developing plays and you get double digit negative plays/sacks every game.
Is that a coaching thing that can be fixed? Because right now it feels like just a matter of time before Luke gets injured.

It’s troubling that 5th year seniors are still playing with poor pad level.

As you can see...Bart has been consistent over the entire time he has been here. 😒

How can we possibly attract a good QB in the portal with this hanging above our head? We can't even keep a guy upright!

Averaging 4 sacks a game so far and we PAID 2 of those teams to play us. 😡💩

The lack of communication on blitzes and stunts is pretty bad. It’s crazy that we saw this 3 weeks in a row and haven’t changed our protections
