Hutch will be the back up PG, his legs aren't under him just yet. At his height he can do things AC, Plummer and Frazier can't, like see and pass over defenders. He had a nice stroke, the 3s will start fall
True, but my eye tells me Hawkins isn't the answer at the point....Hutcherson may not be the answer either, but I feel he's better suited to distribute and handle the ball...jmo
Agreed. Hawkins is not a point guard. Can he bring the ball up occasionally? Sure. Depending on matchups, he can even start the offense sometimes. But he’s not the guy I want handling primary PG duties. Though I can see why some people would like him to be be the guy for the job being that he is tied with AC in turnovers. (I’m kidding, I’m kidding). But to his credit I believe he is second on team in assists.

Great thought! Kofi should set his goal on this game at a setting a new Illini record for assists in a game. 18 is not out of reach. Board and kick..unless he gets single coverage. In which case a new school record for free throws made in one game is not inconceivable.

Plummer nearly tied Trent's record for 3 pointers in a game (at 8). Couple of other Illini have also had 8.FYI - Trent Meacham is on the color for the B1G+ broadcast tonight. Some other guy I’ve never heard of on PxP but it should be a very solid production.

We are NOT a half court offense. That’s pretty obvious.
so, we need to find our offense. The half court set is not our strongpoint, and the effort it would take to try to create that right now would make this a LONG season.
A good last game with some much needed shooting from Plummer. Kofi is looking as dominant as ever and actually finding looks for people when double or tripled. Need that one player to step up when we are in a drought though (missing Ayo here).
