If I were Brad, everyday, every minute of the day I would remind all of them it is easier to play 5 on 5 rather than 1 on 5. Remind them there is a game on Thursday-BE READY FROM THE TIP TO PLAY HARD. I know Keaton will-what about the rest of you?

Had this one circled since the beginning of the year. Loads of talent plus 2 USC transfers that killed us last year. Missing Claude and Yates’ status unknown, but still loads of talent. Steinbach and Diallo both pose matchup problems for us, especially without Kylan.

Just need to not lay a complete egg and we should score enough to win.

Washington is a bad three point shooting team that will only get worse with Claude out. Put a spy on Peterson on the perimeter and have everyone else clog the lane.

Also really important to note that Washington mostly wilts against good teams. USC was their best win but they were down 18 at half before USC completely collapsed.

Northwestern was the Tomi game
Minnesota was the Big Z game
Maryland was the Andrej game
Purdue was the Keaton game

Mirk … your table is ready.
100% get your point, but it's crazy how pretty much every game for the past two months has been a Keaton game... it's just some fall through the cracks because he's so dang good EVERY game.

I guess in terms of best player on the court you could go with Z for Minnesota, and Andrej for MD.

.....

I know Mirkovic hasn't had the numbers Wagler's had, but that rebound column since the Nebraska game has been ELITE:

Currently averaging 8.4 boards per game (5th in B10) and shooting 37.5% from 3. Just sucks he has such stiff competition from Wagler for Freshman of the Year.

Id imagine theyll be a better shooting team without Claude tbh

First few minutes of Washington/Oregon is a rock fight. Neither team looks good. And Diallo didn’t start due to disciplinary issue. Between that and Claude seems like vibes are off. If we can jump on them quick they might quit.

Steinbach is sure a player. As an aside, even in a year where the bottom 1/3 of the BIG is a little weaker than the past few years, there are still some great individual players that are scary to play against. Washington, Minnesota, Northwestern all have top scorers in the league. Coit can go off for 40. When Oregon is healthy they have 2 all league caliber players. Only team that doesn’t really have any dudes is Rutgers. Still a tough league.

steinbach will be a top portal prospect. will cash in big time and end up at a top program (illinois?) next year

No let downs. No excuses here. The coaches need to impress upon the guys that a loss here at home essentially nullifies all the hard work we put in yesterday at Mackey. Brad needs to make sure the guys understand that Washington will arrive fired up to knock off one of the top teams in the conference and on a high after their (upcoming) win against Oregon at home. We need come into this game prepared to match Washington's energy and to fight to protect our home court.
