Shut down Happ and blow out the Badgers. Take your frustration at how you absolutely choked the game in Columbus away out on them. Illini by double digits in this one, and this time I hope BU doesn't call off the dogs like he did against Rutgers if we're up big late.

This would be a disappointing one to lose.

I'll put it this way.

Lose this game, and we may as well pack it up and call it a season.

Half-kidding, of course. But my God. This would be worse than losing to Iowa at home.

How? Wisconsin is better than Iowa.

It will be interesting to see what kind of adjustments BU makes. It's really the only game this year where we didn't enforce our style of play.

I can't imagine we lose this one, but there will be a meltdown if we do. BU will be on them hard to atone for the last debacle.

Not because they're worse than Iowa, but because they've beaten us how many times in a row? And this is their worst team in 20 years.

If we can't beat them under these circumstances......Wisconsin may as well claim ownership over our athletic department.

Thinking Iowa beat Wisconsin a week or so ago & it was not even close.

IL will win this round at home. The loss at Columbus has to hurt a little worse after knowing they can win. Would love to be a fly on the wall when they watch the game film from todays game.

Not sure I'd want to be that fly. Might get squashed by an errant trashcan.

Hehe, was wondering if IL was going to be billed for any destroyed trash cans at Ohio State during halftime.

Wisconsin and Iowa are about as equal as they get, even if they get there in opposite ways. Iowa has an offense, and no D. Wisconsin is bad at offense, solid at defense.

We sometimes have an offense and sometimes have a defense.

If we play 30+ minutes, we win against either.

We rely on turning teams over to win. Wisconsin just does not do that, at least against us. Combine that with us not having an answer for Happ and I don't know how we win this one on the road. We already lost to them by 25 at home.

You have your venues backwards.
We lost on the road.
The next game is in C-U.

But, as always, I expect us to make it look hard to beat Wiscy.

We as a program are hopefully on the upswing -- even if this year's W-L record doesn't show it.

Wisconsin, I believe, is a program in decline.

Hopefully Thursday's game marks the point where our two programs pass one another en route to very different destinations.

10th place - Out of the bottom 4 by Thursday?

Illinois could be in 10th place after Thursday with a win over Wisc.
Indiana @ Ruthgers Mon Rutgers loss 2-11 (Even a win and they are 3-10)
Neb @ Minn - Tues Minn loss 3-10
MSU @ Iowa -Tues Iowa loss 3-10
Wisc @ Ill - Thur Illini win 3-9 Wisc 3-10

Played some good teams tough so far. We got this one! Safe to say many of these games we have been right there would have been blowout losses with Groce at the helm. :chief:

I'm tired of getting beat by players who prepped in Illinois.

I wish they'd bring Stu Jackson back. Or Steve Yoder. Or Bill Cofield.

I am sick and tired of losing to the Cheeseheads. Illinois basketball needs to get all its frustration of losing to the Badgers out in one night. I am not predicting it, but I would LOVE a beatdown along the lines of what we gave Rutgers last week

Weren't we in the middle of a flu epidemic on the team then? Hopefully a healthy team is ready this time. Also, I would love to see Alstork jump Happ if he wants to bring the ball up the court.
