And no drummer at our house. Jeez that was obnoxious. Isn't there generally a rule at arenas about noisemakers?

Absolutely have to win this game, I am so tired of losing to Wisconsin.

The last time we beat Wisconsin was on Sunday, January 2nd, 2011 ... at that point, we led the all-time series 110-75.

12 straight losses later (which I believe is our longest losing streak vs. any opponent in either football or basketball (), the all-time series stands at 110-87.

Even if you're not a stat geek, that should make you mad! We simply need to beat those cheeseheads!!

I hate to say it, but after watching them dismantle us last time, I don't see how we beat them. They pass to cutters well, and we don't defend that well. Last time that led to our guys getting demoralized, which led to the blowout.

First time one of our defenders spins 270 degrees trying to defend a cutter from the corner, I might cry.

This job isn’t for those afraid of heights. That’s scaffolding on the catwalk high above @StateFarmCenter as workers repair a part of the roof that was loose. About 135 feet above the court. It will be done before the game tomorrow.

Underwood: Thing I'm most disgusted with at Ohio State is my lack of getting these guys ready to compete on the glass.

Underwood: To get five offensive rebounds, I take offense to. The rebounding issues, that's on me.

Underwood: We're 2nd in B1G in 2 point %, but that number would go through the roof if we offensive rebounded.

Underwood: At one point, we were four in offensive rebound percentage, now we're not top-50. We got to get better at that.

Underwood: Challenges for Black and FInke, neither is an elite athlete. Fight as coaches of whether to block out or go chase it.

Underwood: With Leron, it's hard for him to get off bodies. Takes quickness. So with him, we have him go chase the ball.

Underwood: Our wings aren't rebounding either. I believe in Leron. I think he's frustrated by it.

Underwood: Wisconsin the one game all year ... we were lifeless."

Underwood: "We're fighting for space" on offense. Need to make threes. Mark Alstork "playing with great confidence."

Underwood: There's a process of growth with Mark Smith. It's never easy. Usually have to dela with struggles. The game isn't as easy for him this year.

Mark a "coach's dream" in that he asks questions about how to get better. Has pride and cares.

Underwood: Told him the other day I can't wait for the offseason to work with Fletch and get better. Told him, "You're going to blow up."

Underwood: People put too much on what he does offensively. He'll be a 1,000-point scorer and high assist guy here.

Try to practice FTs in pressure-packed situations when they're tired. It's about being solid, about running "grinder" offense and doing your job.

Underwood: Closing games "a topic of our conversations every single day." It's a challenge.

Underwood: We have a locker room of guys who all want to win. Do they expect to win? That's a great conversation for them.

None of them have been to an NCAA Tournament. They don't know how to win. On me to bring out the toughness to win.

Underwood: "We've self-inflicted enough on ourself."

Underwood: In offseason, Frazier will add a floater and get better at driving at bigs.

Underwood: "We need Kipper on the floor. He's potentially our best rebounder. He's a matchup problem."

Underwood: Kipper fouled a guy because he was tired. Have to be tougher. Had a huge impact on the game. He was cooking offensively and then we went on 11-minute scoring drought.

Underwood on offense: "It's about letting the defense mess up sometimes." Had great patience early in game. Changed midway through first half at OSU. Rushed and settled.

Underwood asked by @SLGreenberg what's still at stake this season: "Everything."

Underwood: We got blown out at Wisconsin. Who else has beat us? We self-inflicted so many times. I'm a believer. If they can keep believing, who tells me we can't? Don't tell me we can't because we'll do everything to prove you wrong.

You've got to give BU credit, he is using the media masterfully to try and pull Smith out of this nose dive. He too recognizes that he has been painful to watch. BU really needs MS to succeed.

Love to hear BU’s words.
Honest, analytical, identifies our strengths and weaknesses, accountable, and a pretty funny too.
I’d love to see this guy win some championships.

“The one thing I’m really the most disappointed and disgusted about is my personal lack of getting these guys to compete on the glass and how much we have slipped there,” Underwood said.

Thursday, Illinois will try to make amends for its worst performance of the season, a 75-50 loss at Wisconsin on Jan. 19.

“That’s the one game all season we haven’t been good at either end,” Underwood said. “We were lifeless in that game. We had eight missed layups – right at the rim – in the first half.”

I haven't been able to say this too many times this season, but I'm saying it about this game: "Relax, enjoy the game, its a win."

I have tonight off and can watch the game. So far they have only lost one game this season I've been able to watch. So I'm picking the beloved

My familiar refrain: No BTN, so I'm stuck with radio. At least Brian Barnyhart is an excellent play-by-play announcer.
