I'll be honest, I'm really nervous. We absolutely must not let this get away from us early. There's significant likelihood we come out nervous playing our first game while Xavier comes in with some energy after their win against Texas. We cannot compound errors and go down double digits early and spend the next 30 minutes trying to dig ourselves out of the hole we're in. Instead go out there and get after the boards, get those easy put back buckets, absorb whatever punches they try throwing and build a lead. Punish their small interior size, rack up the fouls on them and don't give them confidence they're going to win this.

This is going to be a tough game, but if we play hard, go after them, and don't allow them uncontested threes, we'll survive and advance. Get this done.

Got to show up on D. Can't let defense affect offense. Whenever we crumble defensively early it has a trinkle down effect on everything else we try to do. Hopefully this game doesn't become anothe one of those Brad getting outcoach by a better X's and O's coach kind of game.

By my math, over the last 20 years, the 11 seed vs. the 6 seed is 30-26.

Do not like that look. Still think 🟧 & 🟦 will win it.
Per ncaa.com over the last 15 years, the 6 vs 11 matchup is tied at 30.

It also states the following.
"There have been 61 No. 11 seeds that have defeated No. 6 seeds (39.1 percent) since the NCAA tournament field expanded in 1985."

Being the almost last game is killing me. I hate waiting. Fortunately, there's plenty of good games to distract me

Own the glass (which, we should). and shoot > 30% from 3 and this one is ours.

How we start will be important.
We honestly do not need to take a three to win this game- drive to the hoop, hit cutters, throw it into Tomi in the post and take advantage of our size. If we at least do that and play well I’ll be happy with the outcome no matter what

If we start jacking up threes, even if we make them it will not be a good sign
