We are bad. Injuries hurt. This is so painful to watch.

It's going to be hard to be competitive with this offense. Thomas did about as well as you can expect but there's just almost no hope that this offense can be relied upon to lead us to 2+ TDs.

These next three games could get really ugly. Indiana and Northwestern run read option offenses and the Cover 2 defense is a disaster against that (see Rutgers game). Hopefully the kids continue to play hard and cut down on the penalties. There really isn't anything else to hope for at this point.

Sometimes I wish I was born into a family that went to OSU or MSU, in my lifetime we have only been good in 2002 and 2007.

Today wasn't too optimistic but I'll try to encourage everyone that sticks it out. We are and have been bad for a long time, but I still think we will be good soon. And when that day comes it will be 10x more gratifying than any other fanbase could feel because of all the misery watching this team causes.

Hey, don't be so negative, I remember that we were pretty good in 1963, even won a Rose Bowl game(1st color tv show that I ever saw).

By the same logic, I’m going to go to prison, because it’ll be so rewarding when I get out. :D

I think I’m going to encourage my kids to follow in their uncle’s footsteps and become Ohio State fans. They shouldn’t have to follow a miserable sports program just because I do.

I realize it's ugly overall, but Cam took big Steps since last week. If he can continue to improve over the last few games, going into next year...I'm optimistic for next year, with Taylor and Rivers joining the competition. Kids are getting invaluable ed experience, especially in th e trenches.

How did Megginson do today? Would be helpful if his light goes on.

All I care is about having a team that atleast somewhat competitive. Defensively we took steps back . Offensively we have alot ways to go. Why did get away from the quick out and screens??? It was working earlier we just stop all together in the second half.

Longing for the Beckman days? Now, that's crazy!

There were some good plays out there today. We knew it was going to be a long, hard season. Hopefully, it get's better next year, and the year after...

Have some faith.

Wasn't longing, just remarking on how bad we are right now. Almost all of Beckman's tenure was an absolute train wreck and if we line up his worst team against ours right now and play a game, Becks' boys win by double figures. I knew we would be bad this year, just not Kansas bad, and we are Kansas bad. I live in Texas and went to the Baylor UT game last Saturday. Baylor is in complete, post scandal rebuild mode and they would dominate us.

Nice regression in 2nd half. Very disappointing to see that happen.
I didn't watch the game, but was just paying attention to the score throughout. Based on that it seemed like the defense was playing fine but just wore down throughout the game because the offense couldn't score or stay on the field. It seems that has happened several times this year. The defense has been okay in the first half and gives up a bunch of points near the end.

Beckman was left with Zook players Lovie was left with Beckman players. big difference.

Also Beckman's 2012 team finished 2-10 and 107 in F/+ with a bunch of future NFLers. Currently we are 114 F/+

It's unrealistic to expect a whole lot more with a team this young. Next season we will be one of the most improved teams in the nation. There was a lot of talent added tot his roster. It's just too young to compete currently

What is concerning to me is that the other bottom feeders in the conference have passed us up by a decent margin (Purdue, Rutgers, I expect Indiana to also beat us easily next week). The question is can they sustain their improvement, but if the Illini have another bad year next season you are in an even deeper hole.

I think the teams you mention will fall behind us by 2019. But that depends on many factors, including decent recruiting by us and improved playcalling.
