I think this thread is split full of “this are gonna be ok” camp and the “the sky is falling camp” Couple reasons for the 1st camp. 1. We have had a truly amazing run up until November. More than any of us had seen in a long time. Bret and staff has done more with this team than we thought possible, and with better recruits and deeper rotation, we can do it again, but better. More fuel to the rocket. 2. Michigan just beat Nebraska, now the newest recipients of the Nebraska Curse. So we know they’re bound to lose from here on out. Advantage: US. 3. Chase walked off the field. Hopefully nothing season ending or terrible. Now some reasons I can see for the 2nd camp 1. Bought into the hype, we truly were a top 15 team in the nation. Now we lose twice and tumble down, will likely lose again next week. 2. This team could have achieved 9-3 or 10-2. But we didn’t have our act together against 2 mediocre teams AT HOME with all the momentum in the world behind us. 3. Just when you start getting casual fans interested, you shove them back out with disappointment. I would come up with more reasons but I don’t want to be too negative. I sit firmly in camp 1 and have readjusted back my expectations for the season. If someone said “you’re gonna make a bowl” this year when our preseason Win O/U was 4.5, I would have been grinning with delight. Nobody saw coming what this staff and team has done for the fan base. Anyway, I’ll put my soap box away. Ill enjoy the rest of the season and basketball is back hell yeah.
