Today we'll either get a kickoff time or find out if we have to wait until the weekend for time/tv.Do we not get a Purdue kick time until this weekend? I thought previously I'd read something about 13 days in advance but then I noticed we just now got our MSU time a week prior to the game.
And we wait untill Saturday night or Sunday to find out kickoff time.
I am lobbying on Twitter to get College Gameday here for Purdue. Of course we need to beat Michigan State, and Purdue has to beat Iowa (I see Iowa winning that game). So may be difficult if Purdue does not hold up their end of the bargain. If we win next week and Purdue does as well, our matchup against them is a huge game. A win by us would clinch division.
Could we get college gameday? The other option for College Gameday would be Bama @ Ole Miss (they were on Ol Miss last year but of course this is Kiffin Vs Saban which ESPN thinks we all care about)
IF they skip us that week, they could have us @ Michigan for Gameday (which sucks since it's @ Michigan) The only competition that week would be Pac 12 Conference title battles between USC @ UCLA, or Utah @ Oregon (which gameday has been at this year)
Now of course Gameday will be in Ohio for Michigan@ Ohio St so would they actually have Michigan included 2 weeks in a row?
I'm thinking we could see Game day of Purdue @ Illinois, USC @ UCLA, then Michigan @ Ohio St
"Games held as part of the 6-day selection process will not be selected for Prime Time."Edit: Nvm I think this indeed means 11 AM or 2:30.
I bet it's 11 am on FoxAnd we wait untill Saturday night or Sunday to find out kickoff time.
I would have to assume that we are ... without getting into the headache of considering conferences besides the Big Ten and Big XII (Big Noon Kickoff contenders, to my knowledge) or what teams ABC or ESPN would want, this lineup of games (with times still TBD) isn't that inspiring:I bet it's 11 am on Fox
What other game would they show?
That slot is taken for that weekend by Oklahoma-West Virginia.^ Thanks, Dan! I believe there is also an 11:00 am FS1 slot, as Purdue and Iowa are taking that slot this coming weekend.
Ah, good catch! That slot is taken for that weekend by Oklahoma-West Virginia.
Working backwards, Fox most likely has priority for the Purdue week, but not Michigan. Hard to know exactly, though. But Fox doesn't have total priority it is a week to week thing they share with ABC/ESPN. Fox rarely puts anybody but Michigan or OSU on their Big Noon game, but if they ever did you would think Purdue-Illinois for the division would probably be the one. If not, likely something like 2:30 ABC game.I'd really like to get into the nuts and bolts of this because if it's 11 AM I'm fully able to make the trek to Champaign and if it's 2:30 best I can do is an Illini bar in Wrigleyville.
Does FOX have priority of pick for that 11 AM slot?
How many tix left Dan?
