Not really interested in debating the order in this list but you're right, it sure has been awhile.
My favorite part of the list is the pictures that are used...for Jason Verduzco they used a Jack Trudeau photo, for Fred Custardo they used Butkus, for Brian Menkhausen - Tony Eason, and I can't tell you who they used for Johnny Johnson, Jeff Hollenbach or Scott Mohr.

We were pretty spoiled/blessed in the 1980's, with 3 NFL first rounders (Wilson, Eason, George) and one second rounder (Trudeau). Wilson was taken in the supplemental draft but cost the Saints their first round pick the following year.

Pretty much crickets since then as far as high draft pick QBs (believe Kittner in the 5th round in 2002 is the only Illini QB drafted since then)... would be great to end that streak!
I think you'll have to wait a few more years.

And unfortunately, the 1980's are my benchmark.

I was at a game (1964?) where Fred Custardo got knocked cold on a hit and his mother ran onto the field

Picture of mom coming to the rescue:
Unfortunately, the poor kid met a tragic end in 1971...Didn't know he was on the Bears practice squad.
