1. lack of skill on our side
2. poor coaching
3. good play design
4. out matched
5. bit understanding defensive positioning
6. other

I realize some of those are similar and may overlap.

It’s not Cover 2.

It might not be, but it’s being treated the same way with the same weaknesses as Cover 2. I couldn’t care less about the name for it because they have sucked so far, down some guys or not. Hobbs is one of their most experienced guys and he is getting torched.

Right. If you saw my last response, we typically go either quarters or single man high off a bump and squat. Today it’s mostly Cover 3 and quarters. Not sure why.

That would have been the best time to play a zone. Knowing they can’t run on us. They weren’t going to run up the guy, and they weren’t going over top again.

Best example of this is when the broadcast showed the high camera view. Brown had half the field while the other half was covered by the safety and corner.

I had a fun year until the NW game.
This looks like a continuation of our last game of the year.
Well we have another half to look forward to.
On the bright side, I think Illinois Football and the Bears have done the impossible - I might not care about football anymore.
