Updated with the signings of Johnson, Jakstys, and Butler. Also added Harris's redshirt season with an additional season of eligibility (2026-27).

Seems like next year is set up as a transition, at least as it looks currently. The get old - stay old mantra won't apply. Losing at least 5 guys, 4 of which are starters.

Man, seeing that visually really helped hit it home for me. I'm going to miss the five guys on the left so much after this season. Yeah, CoHawk has been here the entire time, but the impact the other four have had in their short time with our program is incredible to me. Hoping for some March success for this group so they can have a storybook ending to their time wearing the O&B.

Good foundation but 2024-2025 is a rebuild. Much easier with portal but a tall task

I just don’t think rebuilds are going to happen here anymore. Get old, stay old is the motto and it will just be a reload each year with Underwood as coach now. Of course we don’t know who the portal will bring but with the evidence in the last 2 years since NIL and the improvements we made navigating it from last year to this year, this is the expectation until we are shown otherwise.

Finding 3 guys like Domask, Guerrier and Harmon that are so unselfish and fit so perfectly the roles needed to make a championship team is going to be a tall order. Plus losing the heart of this team in CoHawk and TSJ, you can't find that in the portal in my opinion. But if anyone can come close... in BU I trust.

I have a feeling that Ty & Luke will carry on the heart of this team

Dain Dainja might have the extra covid year eligibility. He was a freshman during the 2020-21 season, but that was also when he redshirted, so I'm not sure. Just something to keep in mind.

Redshirted the Covid season, then played the first 3 games the next season before electing to transfer at semester to Illinois sitting out the rest of the year, and has played 2 here.

I *think* he only has one year left to play (he timed his transfer very badly), but I'm not 100% sure. On some level it just seems unfair that all of his cohort gets to play 5 years and he'd really only get to play 3.

Coaching staff best not go back to Champaign but go directly to the portal.

Need a rim protector, a ball handler and a shooter or two.

I'm going to try to update the recruiting grid at the bottom. It's been about a year since I've kept up with the recruiting portion of the grid.

Moretti should have another year of eligibility. He redshirted last year.
Thanks for bringing him up. The sample size is tiny, but in the few minutes he played, I saw pure point guard stuff--really strong with the ball, zipping bullet passes around the perimeter, taking it strong to the rim, scoring from distance and executing effective bounce passes. I looked closely at his build late in the season and saw he'd been working hard with Fletch. If he keeps that up, he'll be even stronger next season. I say we can't sleep on this guy.
