I believe all 5 guys, the Montverde starters, are top 30 in the 2022 class. I guess that is how you win a high school national championship.
Yeah, Skyy didn't actually get his starting spot back after returning from the ACL tear. That might sound alarming, but then look at who was starting:

Dariq Whitehead (2022 #4, Duke)
Kwame Evans (2023 #2, top 5 is Auburn, Indiana, Kentucky, Oregon and UCLA)
Malik Reneau (2022 #28, recently de-committed from Florida, wouldn't be shocked if he goes Indiana)
Dillon Mitchell (2022 #14, Texas)
Jalen Hood-Schifino (2022 #23, Indiana)

The team the previous season had Jalen Duren (Memphis), Langston Love (Baylor), Caleb Houstan (Michigan) and Ryan Nembhard (Creighton) starting alongside Whitehead with Hood-Schifino and Reneau coming off the bench.

Stacked doesn't even adequately describe it.

He started every game I saw, including his first game back I believe. Evans started the GEICO tournament because Skyy was out with shin splints.

Before there was ever a 247 or a gaggle of internet gurus, Marcus Liberty and Lowell Hamilton were both rated #! in the nation as h.s. seniors by Street & Smith magazine, which was the Bible of recruiting in their day.
Misleading and technically incorrect on Hamilton. He was ranked #1 by Street and Smith before his SR year (the magazine came out early Summer). After his Senior season, he had faded back to the 15-20 range. Wasn't even the highest-rated player in Illinois - that was Ed Horton. And of course Ben Wilson would have ranked above him had he not been shot.

I think Austin Colbert was top 10 in the country at one point. Some say he is still falling down the rankings to this day, probably outside the top 1000 of players that graduated high school in 2013.
