Any insiders here have any notes from spring ball so far or scrimmage #1? Also is Marquez to WR a permanent thing ?
Not an insider. Evidently, Beason requested the change. I'm guessing it's permanent.

It’s interesting because he was called by some the best DB in camp before he was hurt. We need help in the WR room so hopefully he makes a big impact.

Edit: That comment was from 2019, not last year.

Anyone have a link to the press conference post scrimmage? Or did they not hold one yesterday?

Coach B said that it just depends on success.

He said something along the lines of "if he has success there, he'll want to stay there; if not, he'll probably want to move back to DB."

So, was there a scheduling change? BB thinks that UI is opening up with NW? I guess, UN and NU are pretty similar.
It's a holdover from the old Big 8 days. Every school was "SchoolU" .. MU, KU, KSU, OU, OSU, NU etc

I don't know how you can watch these interviews and not be over-the-moon positive. The CP stuff is interesting as the only holdover. He seems pretty honest and almost like surprised at how much different the atmosphere is and the tightness and seriousness of the coaches. With so many experienced guys, this year has some unusually high potential compared to pretty much every other 1st season for a new HC at Illinois.

Agree.

Cory made some news in that interview, and it was good news.

Super! Well done Bret and congrats to those young men.

Just as aside, I hope coach has lined up a good local doctor, nutritionist and physio for himself. He's clearly spending loads of time working to improve our players and our program. I'd hate to see it at the expense of his own health. We want him around for a looooong time.
