Yeah, this is part of the reason why they had the money freed up for the Marner deal. I haven't heard what the major surgeries but whatever it is, he'd for sure be out for next season, and it could possibly be career ending.

As much as I like Kerbs and Joey, this absolutely sucks. Jamie Rivers I could care less about as him and JK never developed the chemistry that JK and Panger had.

For those who don't want to read through the STLtoday article, Jamie Rivers will return to the analyst role on Blues Live. Bernie Federko will still be there with Chris Pronger taking on a bigger role. Andy Strickland will be a rinkside reporter for home and road games and will host Blues Live for road games. Scott Warmann will still host Blues Live for home games. Alexa Datt will no longer be on Blues Live.

Don't ask why, please.

I was a teenage Blackhawks' fan way back living in St. Louis. I fondly remember Gus Kyle, Blues' announcer. I swear he said a Blues' new guy had played for the Montreal Voyeurs, not the Voyagers. Slip of the tongue? I don't think so. Gus was great and certainly not a dunce. Perhaps I misheard it. Possible. I don't think so.

I miss The Arena: met Lou Brock and Lloyd Pettit there, got Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita autographs there, saw The Moody Blues there.

Great memories.

The day has finally arrived................The season opener for the St. Louis Blues verses the Minnesota Wild tonight at the Enterprise Center......The Blues look to be a contender for making the playoffs just as they did last year....................I'm very excited to see how they play tonight as after a poor start to the pre season schedule they improved a great deal as roster cuts were made and the veterans got more ice time their record and wins showed a seriously good team take form.......

I will relaxing in front my TV tonight cheering on the Blues to a much hoped for win ......And St. Louis really really really need a winner to help them get over the complete failure of the St. Louis Cardinals.....It was a long long season for Cardinal Nation , to say the least..........The Blues have a great mix of veterans and much younger players ...

I know the Blues will very much help me get over the disappoint of summer results ...........

JMHO.........

LET'S GO BLUES !!!!!!...........
