John Lackey officially named the starting pitcher for Game 1. Who would you all like to see starting game 2 and so on? I would like to see Jaime Garcia get the nod in game 2 and go from there. His numbers at home are much better than they are on the road.
So who does everyone want to win tonight? I'm hoping for the Pirates. I want no part of playing the Cubs in the playoffs.
Jaime without a doubt. Wacha and Lynn in game 3 and 4, with Waino backing those two up if one goes <5
Go Cubs. It would be the most entertaining series, and ultimately that's what sports are all about. Plus, we won't lose to them. We have too much experience, right?
I don't have the self-control for this. I can barely watch a regular season series against them. Yes, I know I have a problem.
Regarding your question, I think we make enough plays to beat them in 4.

Always was excited for a Cards-Cubs postseason series, but now that it's happening, there's nothing I want less. I just hope we win otherwise it'll be insufferable.
I am unbelievably excited. This is what baseball is all about.

Come Friday at 5, can we Cards/Cub fans make a truce and not enter into each other's threads?
Good luck, Cubs. It'll set ratings records. Guarantee
Guys, this is a historic series. Our fathers, even grandfathers haven't seen this. I'm not sure I'm ready for it.
@OnlyCardsTalk: Peter Bourjos said he is NOT on the playoff roster... One step closer to #FreePham!
Also, Mark Reynolds IS on the playoff roster
I read that Jay declined comment on whether or not he's on the roster. I'm hoping he's not cause what does he bring? Nothing at all
He brings experience, a good glove, and the ability to get on base. Pham has been good for what? A month? And how many postseason games has he played in? I agree we should give Pham the chance first, but Jay has been in these situations and could be a solid backup plan if Pham struggles.
Side note: If a player isn't on the roster can they still sit in the dugout?
A good glove? He may catch everything he gets around, but he's not a good defender. I rather have Pham on the roster over Jay, but don't want Pham starting. I want Holliday, Grichuk, and Heyward starting in the OF with Piscotty starting at first.
Yes, they can still sit in the dugout if they aren't on the roster. I remember AJP going berserk when Adams cranked his homer off of kershaw.
If the question is Pham or Jay then I'm also picking Pham. But I think it comes down to Jay or Moss? And with the game on the line, I'm not even sure Moss can make contact. It's a tough decision because Moss has the power, but I'd go with Jay.
