Until he wasn’t. Dickerson left the clubhouse in street clothes before the game, presumably to have an examination pertaining to the recurrence of a left calf injury that had landed him on the injured list in June. Brendan Donovan took the start in left field with slumping Tyler O’Neill taking a seat on the bench. But Dickerson was able to return for the game and was sent in as a defensive replacement in the ninth inning. There is the possibility that right-handed-hitting Juan Yepez, who is at Memphis on injury rehab option for a right forearm strain, could return next week but manager Oliver Marmol said that would be both health and performance related. Yepez was to play the outfield for six innings on Saturday night and at least that long on Sunday but Marmol also wants to see if Yepez can shake the recurring habit of his pulling off the ball and flying open while at bat. ---------------------------------------------------------- So , he leaves in street clothes to get examined and then is in right field for the decisive play that was Renfro's triple and couldn't reach it.....yep.....ok... I guess my thought is TON pinch hit in the 9th , why not put him in left and move Donovan to right field.....I got up late this morning and haven't read the comments section on these 3 articles , so bear with me .....
