It’s early, but I’ve seen enough of Ryan Fernandez for a bit. He needs a reset. Brutal start for him this year.

Call me crazy, but I do think when the weather warms up, and this team shows that they can contend, we would see a more 25-30k attendance average per game. Even with just the weather improving there will be a bump.
If they keep winning they'll get a little boost. From what we've seen so far, offense is good enough to keep them hovering around .500, which makes them competitive enough in the NL Central.

Not sure if they're showing gates or tickets sold (almost certainly the latter, because that's what teams report), but like basically every other team, the huge bulk of tickets sold are from season ticket holders and corporate tickets. Sales obviously don't turn around much for that group even with winning since those season ticket sales must have been way down this season, which makes sense with how the last couple years have played out. This offseason inspired no confidence from anyone, even if it does turnout to be a competitive team.

Also, the economy likely isn't going to be doing too hot. Attendance TANKED for MLB in 2009, something like that is likely this year too.

Will be interesting to see how many Cardinals experiment with the Torpedo bat.Donovan was the first mentioned,Herrrera borrowed one of his bats and slugged 4 HR"S last couple games.Need to pass some over to Contreras.

Rough day for Redbird pitchers...gave up 16 hits and 8 walks!🤮

Gotta love the fight from the offense today. Never gave up. Pretty costly botched double play mid to late innings probably did us in. Not sure if Contreras could have stayed on the bag, but regardless, bad throw by Donovan. Hopefully Brendan can improve on his defense soon.

Thanks. Not on our app.

When I went through FanDuel on Prime Video on my TV, I had to go to the FanDuel airing live window since the game wasn't showing up on the regular panel. Had a similar issue trying to watch the Blues game when I got home last night and ended up having to watch it through ESPN+ through my Disney+ app on my TV.

Excellent work getting out of that jam. This team is exciting thus far.

Thanks, there it is!! Had to scroll down on the guide in the live app.

Brutal collapse from Helsley. When you walk people, bad things happen.

Unfortunately, another great game on National TV. Down 10-1 , 3rd inning. Probably the last National TV game for the birds.

This is the only one scheduled for ESPN through the first half of the season. They will have 3 games during the first half of the season on Apple TV+, with the first on May 9th at the Nationals. They'll also have two Sunday games during the month of June on the Roku channel.

It looks like this year is shaping up to be, who stays and who goes, with players getting a chance to prove it. When Mozeliak goes after the season, hopefully the new GM will fire Marmol and bring in someone who doesn't make mistake after mistake managing this team. The team will have a lot of changes as the trade deadline approaches. Anyway, they should have $$$ to spend next year on upgrades while keeping the good and getting rid of the bad, and there's plenty of bad to get rid of. I'm still watching every day but don't even bother getting upset and just turn it off when it becomes unbearable.

I am not an Ollie Marmol fan. However he is a symptom not a cause. This is not a championship roster. The DeWitts are the problem. They chose to go into a reset after a 12 game win improvement in 2024. They spent absolutely no money in the off season. And until just before the season started the Cardinals were the only team of the 30, which did not sign a major league player to their roster. You have a lame duck manager and lame duck position that John Mozeliak occupies. Marmol could have been dispatched and Mo could have been sent off into but that was not the game plan.

51.

It's a bit disconcerting when I see how many people who are younger than me are dying.
Well, this wasn't natural causes so I don't think it should start making you too worried about your own mortality. Unless you happen to frequent night clubs in the Dominican Republic.

The whole thing is incredibly tragic though. 113 dead including Dotel, another former MLB player, and Nelson Cruz's sister.

You are correct. Thing is, I see people younger than me die for reasons other than health. Accidents and so on.
DR is on my bucket list. I want to stay in the La Romana area and catch a Toros del Este Winter League game at Estadio Francisco A. Micheli.
My window of opportunity is small. October. After that the prices at the resorts spike. Years ago I was all set to pull the trigger and make the reservations when my daughter came to us and told us she was getting married. There went my vaca fund. Next was my son. It was less expensive for me but still. Then helping pay off college loans and helping with down payments on houses. COVID. Best of all came the grandkids. Why go to DR when I can spend time with the little ones? Maybe after they get a little bigger I will look at La Romana.
One day.

I heard about the nightclub disaster, didn't connect it to Dotel. So sad for all who died. Not the highest building standards in the DR, if you've been there you know what I mean. Terrible loss of life.
