Looks like Scott may have thrown the ball into the stands. May take some negotiating to get it backWith his first save! Beautiful!
Burly gets Skenes again. Broadcast said he has the most hits off of Paul than any other player. Would be huge to get Alec going.
They gave it back right away. Nootbaar gave them a signed one instead.Looks like Scott may have thrown the ball into the stands. May take some negotiating to get it back
In my view the problem is that the DeWitts and thus management are perfectly satisfied with the chip and a chair mentality for the foreseeable future. And I totally agree that this is not a championship roster. I think as far as number of wins, we are looking at a repeat of 2024. Right around .500.
I’m not and never have been one with a mindset to give in and it seems the fans have and ownership hit what I think they thought was a bigger reset. Problem is, the lineup is performing and starting pitching has been enough. The lineup was never going to be a problem this year. Luck alone wouldn’t let that happen. It is a shame the only add was Maton and I think that only happened because the players union was barking a bit. The bullpen has been atrocious. Something like 10 blown leads? Around about? Is this a championship level team, no, but it is a team that could compete. Expanded playoffs and get a hot pitcher or two, you never know. All you need is a chip and chair at the table. A problem with that is, if they were to be buyers, what do you give up? The system isn’t exactly flush and that could set us back even further. I enjoy this team. They fight. There is more competency on the bench this year, but Oli still isn’t a big league manager. I watch every night and am glad I can. Wish I lived closer to go to more games.
To answer your question of about 5 come June. Possible, but going to have to see something on the road. I’m going to go with 3 under.
Ask and you shall receive !! That's a sweep of the Pirates, and also the 5th win in a row. It also moves the birds on the bat into 2nd place of the NL Central (for now).would be nice to get back to .500 with another win this afternoon............it really really would..............
One game under would be great given the performance so far. I don’t see it quite yet. That’s an interesting stretch of games. I’d guess 2-3 games under .500.On June 1st, will the Cardinals be over .500?
Currently 17-19
2 more vs. Pirates
3 @ Nationals
3 @ Phillies
3 @ Royals
3 vs. Tigers
3 vs. D-backs
3 @ Orioles
3 @ Rangers
I predict 11-12 since most are on the road, but curious what others think.
I think Jon Jay has been huge for outfield instruction. The routes our guys have been tracking balls have been much improved. We have a pretty good defensive team.Very excited with the performances of the younger pitchers such as Liberatore , McGreevy , Graceffo ,etc...................Matz has been better than usual , being healthy and also in his last year of his contract........hmm....................
a 5 game winning streak , no matter who we've played , is a revelation considering the FO' s brand on this reset year.........
Victor Scott II has seized the opportunity before him and is playing great defense along with providing above average speed and a more mature approach at the plate..............JMHO......
Vince Coleman was a good player, but was known for his base stealing prowess. Willie McGee was a much more rounded offensive player in my view. The answer to your question is to be determined.is victor more of a vince coleman or a willie mcgee?

Victor reminds me more of Willie. I always thought Willie was actually faster first to third (or home) than Vince and like Victor, Willie was a centerfielder. Hopefully Victor can win three gold gloves, two batting titles and a MVP award like Willie did.is victor more of a vince coleman or a willie mcgee?
