Saggese needs more AAA seasoning to lay off those outside sweepers way out of the strike zone........big insurance run really helps............

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!

The comeback Cardinals raise their road weary heads in their classic nitty gritty dirt band style and win the series against the Dodgers by the score of 5-3.........

The redbirds were stymied by Ohtani through the first 4 innings playing WHIFFLEBALL with their bats as Ohtani struck out almost everybody who came to bat against him......./s

Donovan....2-5....1 run , 1 RBI.....
Burleson....2-5...
Nootbaar...1-5.....2 RBI's.....
Winn...2-4...
Walker...3-5....1 run , 1 RBI.....
Pages....2-3....

Libby went 4 innings , 6 hits , 2 ER , 1 W.....
Leahy.....2 2/3 innings....4 K's , 0 W.....
Romero....1 ing....1 hit , 1 K......
O'Brien....1,1 ing , 1 W.......gets his first career save.......

Cardinals kept hanging in there and rallied for a great victory.........coming home for 9 games in 10 days at Busch III , starting with the unlovables this Fri , Sat and Sun...................

this HP ump has set a new record according to my feeble stats vision with 42 missed calls today....surprised Oli hasn't been ejected
so far today...........
There have been so many horrible male umps I am glad we will start to see women in "Blue". The first ones through the door are going to have a chip on their shoulders and want to show the world they belong. That eaned everything they are "given" so to speak. I think it is a better option than the robo ump that is on the horizon.

Before anyone freaks, It's a joke people.....

And as to the original post by WPR, it's about friggin time. Female refs in the NFL have been more than fine.

I’m really liking what I’m seeing from Jordan Walker. He isn’t flying open Juan Yepez style. Power from him would be lovely, but I’ll take sprayed balls all over my the field.

I hope the Cards don't let Walker go. Looking at the Memphis Redbirds' roster, Jordan Walker is younger than every player except Blaze Jordan and JJ Wetherholt. All 3 were born in 2002. I often forget just how young he still is.

Cardinals finally solve the great Colin " almighty " Rea with a solid one run rally to close it to 9-1........Embarrassing themselves on a national broadcast game shows how far away this franchise is from being relevant in post season play.....it really really does.....

interesting stat........the Cardinals are 1-7 in Pallante's last 8 starts............that's a very bumpy " runway ".......it really really is.....

ty bro for posting this......it brought a smile to me on an otherwise morbid night last night......................
It was. It really was.
Instead of watching the classic Cubs-Cards game I was watching a preseason football game. The game was so terrible I was going to switch to the baseball game but it was already a run away.
I turned the TV off and hung some brackets on the wall that I have promised my wife that I would do for a very long time. After that I did the dishes.
At least I got to use my new drill so that wasn't all bad.

Gorman can't even make a routine play at 3rd base now......
Oli even mentioned can't give extra outs. ....
