Simply put, we deserved to lose. Didn't rebound well enough. Mediocre free throw shooting. Terrible after timeout plays. Should have won this game.
I agree with all but the free throw shooting. We shot 83% from the line. His free throw shooting is what kept us in the game.

But missed several at key points . . .

Credit to BU for building this team, but his subbing has been terrible the last 3 games.

Ben has struggled against power 5 opponents. Teams are faster, stronger, better. Same goes for Davis.

Need to see more of Morez, and some of Booth.

If Tyler Underwood has anything to do with play calling. Whitman needs to step in

Fell apart once again but its not unexpected with 4 freshmen playing important minutes. I hope this leads to better results down the road.

Big Ten banners, Elite Eights, being able to take #1 to the wire with a brand new roster … but not being too stubborn to prioritize inbounds passes that have F$&,;d us multiple times since Brad got here? Preposterous.
I love Brad, but I can literally hear him grumbling about how players at this level should be able to pass the ball inbounds so he ~refuses~ to spend time on it in practice … well, turns out for several years now, the other 4 players who might receive that inbound pass are clueless. Maybe this is one area you need to swallow your pride and address??

If you are going to lose a game against the #1 team in the land, that is EXACTLY how you want to lose! A final possession game.... I'm ecstatic with how we played. THIS young team against the #1 team this early in the season??? Hell yeah! Give it to me!

Absolutely coaching malpractice. Let’s make this simple for the staff

Medical redshirt Ben and let Ty play

Design an inbounds play

This is a joke. Team should be 9-1.

Gross. Disgusting. Horrible. Ew.

Don’t even know what to say this year has been very disappointing. We’ll be lucky to beat Mizzou at Enterprise. Yuck.

One play down the stretch that gave Tennessee momentum was no doubt the sequence where we lost track of Gainey that led to his game tying 3. Gainey took over in the second half when Ziegler and Lanier were in foul trouble. Didn't felt like we clamped down on him enough because of that.

I don't even know where to begin with it...

- Horrible to watch, some of the worst officiating I've ever seen

- Lazy passes, Freshman mistakes, fouling (I guess) too much, dumb defensive possessions, and some bad coaching.

- I don't think Tennessee is all that good...Definitely not saying they are bad, but that is not a final 4 team to me.

- I need the staff to actually RUN something offensively. I get KJ is good, but you're running that kid out there to do absolutely everything. Get these kids running a system that keeps everyone involved and adjust if needed.

- I thought we were pretty good defensively overall and I think we can get better.

- We cannot give Ben that much run... miss me with all the analytics, he cannot defend and if he isn't getting or hitting shots, I don't need to see him. His feet are terribly slow.

- I want more run from DGL, because I know he can score and I know he can defend. At times we need a small, quick guard to get past a guy and cause havoc defensively. Give the kid more tick.

- I always have to remind myself how young we are...it's a bunch of kids who are still learning to win. But things need to start clearing things up now. We got talent, we can play with any team in the nation, but the actual W's need to happen.

Only thing worse than KJ's inbounds pass there at the end is the endless dumba** comments here. I guess I'll have to learn to stay out of both the Game Thread AND the Postgame Threads . . .

I mean, we played our asses off and went down to the wire with an absolutely athletically-loaded 10-0 #1 team.

That was a great effort. Clean some things up as the season progresses, get a top-4 seed, and I like our team's chances to go deep.

I agree. I’m never caught up in the end result. I thought tonight was the best game we’ve played all year when it comes to competing even if not playing out style.

This was a TN style game and we almost won. Much better game than Bama, NW, Ole Miss. We are a finess team that showed a ton of toughness. So win at the buzzer or lose at the buzzer…doesn’t matter to the overall trajectory of the season. I think we’re getting better and showing more than what I thought we had
