Puzzled at the coaching brain fog and our sloppiness late. The game was in the bag and we gave it away.

On the other hand, TN is rock solid, and I didn't think we'd have them on the ropes as we did. We made them play our game and got them in foul trouble early. Love me some Rick Barnes.

Given that every single guy but one in our rotation is new, didn't believe we'd be this far along in mid-December. Gotta clean up at the margins, keep chopping wood and we'll be in excellent shape in Feb and Mar.

In Pain GIF by MOODMAN
Death, taxes, BU teams making costly turnovers on an inbound.

What I will say is that I do appreciate a coach willing to stand up in front of the media and say, "I screwed up." As frustrating as that is, Underwood saying it is at least him recognizing the issue. Now let's see how it's corrected. But the first step to solving a problem is admitting there is a problem in the first place.
Brad does that regularly, and often after people here get lectured about being too stupid to understand what they're watching.

I'm just not gonna be ok with shooting 29% from the floor, no matter how young we are and how physical Tennessee is.
Winner!!! POTD. People can turn this inside out, upside down and point to 20 different plays. 4 for 23 from three. That's not ok, yet it's our offense.

Riley is an absolute liability on offense. 1 of 9.

KJ SEVEN turnovers and 5/15 shooting.

Tomi....this was a no show.

Let's keep a little perspective. Our guys need to be better.

1. I don't see how anyone can blame the officiating. Both teams played with ridiculous physical attitude and they called it appropriately to my eye.

2. Ivisic has to sell out to block that last shot. Just bad clock awareness. Also, everyone has to focus on getting it out of Gainey's hands there. He was clearly the guy who would keep the ball in his hands there.

Can’t stop the dribble drive on the a break is a fundamental and why didn’t Ivisic help out?? You can tell this team is young. We don’t make the plays needed to win the game in stretch time.

Hey guys, how many posts has it been since we mentioned Ben? We can agree that this one wasn't on him, right?

I'm not saying that he belonged every minute he was out there, but there's normal stuff to fix after this one.

Pretty amazed by Tennessee. For all the talk of how thin they are, they still hold their own pretty much the entire time their best offensive and defensive players have to sit. Then to top it off pull it out after both those guys foul out keep it from going to OT on the road. Everything was there for us and it just sucks. Hope we figure these end of games out when it matters most in March. Team had the right mindset. Just some more bad execution late.

Ivisic has to learn when to drop and when to help protect the rim. He should have blocked that last shot and he totally dropped off. He did that several times today that cost us.

KJ is a stud, so much so that sometimes you forget he's only 18. He gets himself in no man's land a lot still. I expect that gets better with time.

Elephant in the room, but dang, do we practice inbounds plays?? Because we don't play like we do. Just brutal execution.

We had a stellar chance with TN foul trouble but just couldn't really take advantage. And I'm still not sure what Humrichous is doing out there. He had one rebound tonight. It was a nice one lol, but still. And got beat a bunch on defense as well as the glass.

I don't exactly know what is drawn up on the inbounds plays, but it also requires the players to execute with hard cuts and good passes. That wasn't always the case.

We’re gonna be alright. I was worried this team was a collection of finesse/skill guys without much toughness.

We are definitely tough.

We shot less than 30% from the floor. We shot 17% from 3.

In spite of that, we just took #1 down to the wire.
