Annoying to see him be such a crybaby at the end of a winnable game. Takes a timeout home with him. That just got the bears coach fired. He’s not keeping his head in the game when it matters most.
We did get a key call at the end to put KJ at the line. If he had hit both free throws and hang on for the win Brad would have looked like a genius the way he worked the officials.it wasnt brad today thats for sure, he was arguing with the refs for some reason
It looks to me like the opposing coach.Who runs the inbound plays? Seriously.
It looks to me like the opposing coach.
Damage is already done is kind of the way Brad sees it ...
Morez is a 50% foul shooter. Unless he's in there on a defensive substitution, you can't have him on the offensive side. Tomi stepped up and hit two enormous free throws. I don't want MJ anywhere near that stripe right now.End of game lineup: KJ, Kylan, Tre, Will, Morez.
Or: KJ, Kylan, Tre/Will, Morez, Tomi.
Ben should not be the guy, and Morez's energy (especially on D and rebounding) is just going wasted by not having him out there.
Nah…That would require more than the usual spin, over-rationalization, and orange kool-aid to get there. IMOWe did get a key call at the end to put KJ at the line. If he had hit both free throws and hang on for the win Brad would have looked like a genius the way he worked the officials.
You've totally misunderstood me. I'm not saying that it's crazy for Morez to want minutes. Of course not. I'm saying it would be absolutely wild for his coach to think that there's nothing that can be done to convince him to stay. Especially so if it's true. Triply so given the energy and readiness that Morez has shown for this team. How would you feel if you were a top high school level recruit, you played your heart out when given the chance, and you were sitting with a player who can't squeeze a rebound and can't play a lick of defense at B1G level in front of you...and it seemed clear that there wasn't a thing you could do to prove this should change?
True, I think he needs to see the floor any time the other four are bringing the heat on offense, minus the last 2-3 minutes of the game for FT reasons.Playing Devil's Advocate (bc I absolutely think MJ needs way more minutes), but Morez is not contributing anything offensively other than putbacks and short shots. It's the Ty model. Great rebounder, great defense, but not an offensive threat and a liability at the line at this point. We aren't really taking advantage of the roll ever, but moreso with Tommi with his height, and today, we totally did not take advantage of the pop, which MJ can't execute at a high level. Hope MJ develops offensively, bc it would guarantee him big minutes with everything else he brings.
Yep - try a few high lows to break the droughtWhy not get your two 7 footers some looks down the stretch when you are in a 5 minute FG drought?
Curious to hear your thoughts, Db, on Will's minutes. Not going to regurgitate a lot of what has been said, but one miscellaneous takeaway:
Morez Johnson needs to play more than he spends on the bench. Especially tonight when Tomi wasn’t great. Very frustrated by his number of minutes so far.
Okay??? Is Nicholson at NW anymore of some elite foul shooter? Is Omoruyi at BAMA? Even some of the guys playing for TENN today... getting our a$$ kicked in the lineups and matchups department... your best players are your best players... period.Morez is a 50% foul shooter. Unless he's in there on a defensive substitution, you can't have him on the offensive side. Tomi stepped up and hit two enormous free throws. I don't want MJ anywhere near that stripe right now.
I do agree that he needs more minutes however.
