I'm just so thrilled for Terry Hawthorne. Yes, this sucks for recruiting, but he will always be my favorite Illini because of this play. I always felt that this sequence should be shown to every incoming class so that they know how the effort on one play can turn around a game. (I'm sure there's a better video, but this all I could find.)

Ah the Zooker. Frightening special teams. Recruited athletes like a madman and forgot to recruit an offensive line. He did things. That swinging gate still haunts me. Then he goes to Green Bay, gets put in charge of special teams... and does a solid job. Could never figure that guy out. LOL Say whatever you want - the man had style. Big shout out and gratz to Hawthorne. Glad to see him moving up! Good luck man!

This is what Illinois Football should be and how to build a winning culture. With playing and leaders like Coach Hawthorne! Wow šŸ’Æ

Hawthorne is going to be an analyst and there are analysts all over the place. Let him have a couple more years on staff at AR. as an analyst and then go to Ark. ST. or Memphis as an on field coach and learn his craft. If he was critical in the recruitment of one young man from ESL, then the rest of the staff is failing.
