I think we are in a bad position if walker takes the job at Mizz I think recruiting against cuonzo is already going to be a nightmare in Chicago (when you add all of the other coaches dipping into Chicago). Add to it a strong presence in the St. Louis area and I think the recruiting job for the next coach gets immensely more difficult. I hope I'm wrong.

I also hope we can wrap up the coaching search quickly
Me too. Really bad feelings here after the slick move by Mizzou. Really hope I'm wrong...

Archie has to be the clear cut number 1 choice. I'm not sure we can get him, but he has to be #1.

1. Youngest
2. Success in NCAA
3. Recruits Chicago already
4. Player development has been solid
5. Players seem to love him
We really need this or something at this level.

This is dumb but I'm just going to throw it out there...

I know Dayton has had good records under Miller and its hard to argue with results, but boy did they lay an egg against Northwestern in the United Center this past year. I remember sitting there before we took on BYU thinking "and some people would want to replace Groce with the guy who coaches THIS team?" Dayton dominated the A-10 this year, true enough. But you know who got second in the A-10? VCU, who I seem to recall us running out of the gym down in Miami.

I suppose this is my long-winded way of saying I don't think Archie Miller would a homerun hire.

Put me on the Keatts train.

Not sure what your point is? If you're saying the Conference isn't that good, then what do you think about UNCW conference?? If you are basing Dayton and Miller off one loss, what about UNCW 18 point loss to William & Mary.

Well to elaborate I think what Keatts has done at UNCW is much more impressive than what Miller has done at Dayton.

How many D1 college teams has Monty coached? What was his overall record? How has he recruited? Can you name any 3*, 4*, or 5 * players he has recruited since 2003? Curious I am not really on the Keatts train but, I believe, I would take Keatts if the choice was between those 2.

And let's add one more name...well probably not new but not talked about as much. What about Chris Mack?

I am glad we didn't get CM. It says a lot about a coach that is hiring two new assistant coaches instead of bringing his staff from Cal with him....I might speak a different tune if we hire a head coach with Illinois State Ties.

Make Champaign feel more like home for The Lou and Metro East guys. Have Ted Drewes, Hodak's, and Toasted Ravioli trucked in every day. Wear Cardinals caps if you have to. Or maybe these guys are trying to get away from St. Louis and don't want to be reminded of home.
