Not trying to be that guy, but last time I had some knowledge it was questioned (understandably).
I tell you: John Groce has been fired. 30 minutes later, John Groce "officially" fired.
Anyways...
Monday, Monty Williams will be named the next head coach of the Illini.
Keats and Yeats are on your side while Wilde is on mine.
I have came to the Conclusion that this board wil make you go crazyR
his new orleans teams were pretty young by all accounts. I'll say this though - I have no inside info but I'd be estatic with monty. I'd be happy with miller. I'd be content with bryce drew. I'd be hopeful with bennett. i'd be prayerful with marshall.

Judging by your typing, yep.
Stein stated that league sources told ESPN that Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has urged Williams to take as much of a role with the organization as he feels comfortable for the 2016-17 campaign.
The specifics of what role Williams would fill and how much time he could commit have not yet been determined, but sources say San Antonio has opened the door to either a coaching and player-development role or a front-office position, depending on what he prefers.
This is a conversation that never happened.
I can't wrap my brain around the idea that Monty Williams is anything but a grand slam hire.
Monty doesn't excite me. It doesn't disappoint me, but it definitely doesn't excite me.
I think Monty could be a incredible recruiter. He's such a likable guy and very charismatic. Watching some of the players talk about what Monty meant to them after his wife's passing was very emotional. He has had a real connection with his players.
The more i watch and read...i cant get enough. I agree with you.

The best basketball minds on the planet earth continually go to bat for this guy. What other endorsement would one need to be convinced he's a capable coach for Illinois?
You know what everyone else knows on this board. Which is absolutely nothing. Whitman will make a solid pick, I'm sure of it!
Monday and Tuesday are going to be insane around these parts.
