Don't see this being much of a search, I'd guess they'll hire internally, probably Kevin Kane. It's an attractive job now given Walter's rise though if they do go outside.
I wonder how quick BB strikes to find RWs replacement.
He won't waste much time ...

These rivals are playing catch up to us now. We will get a good DC and just might pick up some transfers.
I am more worried about who Walters takes with him from Illinois.

Maybe BB will reach out (or has already) to his former player Jim Leonhard to fill the vacancy?

I suspect an internal hire for Def Coordinator and really hope that we don’t lose much off the current staff to Purdue.

I'll be pretty surprised if Kane isn't the new DC.
Not saying we won’t have some defectors, but I think Bret is and always will be the big sell of this team. More so than any head coach we’ve had since zook. I don’t expect major names to transfers or to lose a couple top assistants (except if he plans on promoting them).
I meant from the coaching staff. Not as worried about players.
I don't know if this search goes past Kane or Leonhard.

For those in the know, is Jim Leonard even a remote possibility or is everyone just blowing smoke?
He is a legitimate candidate ... From everything I have gathered so far it will be him or Kane ... Obviously subject to change
