No. This was my concern. Location matters. Instead of St. Louis and our fans, we're in South Carolina potentially playing North Carolina in the second round.
That's about as bad as we could have hoped for.

Illinois is fortunate to get a 3 seed. They are struggling coming into the tournament and have a losing record in their last 9 games. Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Purdue, UCLA, Ohio State, Minnesota, Washington, Rutgers, Northwestern, and Oregon all have the same or better records as Illinois over their last 9 games, let alone all the other teams in the other conferences. The illini deserve a 4 or 5 seed.
Yea, because we can get some vengeance and beat UNC. That will actually be a successful season in my book. It's all gravy from there
But beating Houston to go to the Elite 8... Good luck. I would rather play Florida

South is loaded, but don't hate our draw. Penn is hot tho. Gosh if we finished better and got Purdue's 2 seed I'd feel amazing. I don't hate that the Ivies are ALWAYS a tough out so don't see a blow out.
Well one could say UNC In the Carolinas could be a good excuse. But I think we have shown we play well in front of hostile crowds.
Potentially playing UNC in South Carolina....pseudo road game. Getting St. Louis was critical.
We don't play well in our own backyard so it's whatever at this point.

Fran's team is 204 in KenPom Adjusted Offense so luckily that plays into not exploiting our inexplicable 2nd half defense issue.
