Not a great draw. NC will be extremely tough for us. Then we get Hou in Hou which is our exit. FL takes our region.

Those complaining about having to play north Carolina in South Carolina, dont get it. We have the easiest path to the S16 of any 3 seed. They dont pick regional favorites, plug in seeds, which aligns to the region.

Florida - 4 overall gets best 2 (Houston). We were 10 overall, on ua to not beat Wisconsin up 15, TWICE! Nothing is handed to you in life.

Greenville from Chapel Hill is more like if we played in Milwaukee. It's a different state with its own flagship school, plus a rival ACC school is right down the road. It wouldn't seem like as big a deal if South Carolina just had a completely different name.

If we make the sweet 16, that is a HELL of a tournament. By zero means whatsoever should the expectation be to win a road game against Houston.

If that’s what you’re mad about once we get there… the frustration should probably be more reserved for falling off the 2 line.
I have plenty to spare

Would’ve preferred the 4 in this bracket.

We should handle Penn, and then UNC is as favorable a matchup for a 3 seed (if they win), IMO. If VCU beats UNC (highly possible), we are looking at possibly facing 14 and 11 seed to get to S16. I want nothing to do with Vandy as a 5. We should be happy with this draw. Make it to S16, and then anything can happen.

If we get the team that played against Duke in their last matchup - which with our luck, we likely will - we are toast. Plus it will essentially be a road game.
UNC may get knocked off. I live here in Virginia and believe me, they are down the pecking order in the ACC. Duke-N.C. is a rivalry. VCU is good and can beat UNC without Williams.

Carolina has been inconsistent this year for sure. And we are indeed better on the road.

But I think we've been pretty good too despite the last few weeks.

I don't have any issues with the job the committee did. Followed the curve I had pretty closely. Biggest surprise to me was Arizona over Michigan for the #2 overall seed. We now have a definitive answer that the conference championship matters.
Well, this year anyway. The bad thing is that it is a moving target. Some years (like this year), it definitely does. Other years, not so much.

Couple of interjections here before I start filling in the ole bracket. First of all, I don't think Michigan wins their bracket. I'm penning in Iowa State there. I also think that outside of the probability of playing Houston, no one concerns me in the South. I think we beat Florida straight up.

I'm so confused by this. Duke & UNC literally always play in the Carolinas. We absolutely do NOT have the easiest path as a 3 seed.

Why does the worst 6 seed get to play down the road while the 3 seed travels?

Because after the first few seeds, the committee makes efforts to reduce travel costs for other teams while maintaining competitive balance (aka as long as you're the right seed, you get seeded as close to home as possible among possible pods).

If you look at UNC boards, they're upset about the positioning because they think Duke fans will show up to boo them (Duke plays in Greenville right after UNC).
